90 Day Diaries Season 3 - Details We Know So Far

Fans of "90 Day Fiancé" were spoiled for choice with the simultaneous release of four, brand new spin-off shows on Discovery+. As Screen Rant reported at the time, the platform, which launched in the U.S. on January 4, 2021, optioned "90 Day Bares All," "90 Day Diaries," "90 Day Journey," and "The Other Way Strikes Back." Naturally, all four proved to be insanely popular with fans of the mega-hit reality show. "90 Day Diaries," in particular, spoke to our collective mentality during the COVID-19 necessitated lockdown since it was filmed completely at home.

The show removed any film crew or producers from the equation, giving participants the power to tell their stories their way. As a result, "90 Day Diaries" provided a more intimate and honest glimpse into the featured couples' lives than ever before, which proved to be catnip for fans stuck at home with nothing else to watch. A second season was all but guaranteed and, as it turned out, fans didn't have to wait long to get their fix. Season 1 finished in February and Season 2 debuted in June, per IMDb. Now the question is, when can we expect thirds?

When can fans expect 90 Day Diaries to return?

As Premiere Date notes, the debut season of "90 Day Diaries" began airing in January 2021, with the final episode dropping February 1. Season 2 followed in quick succession at the beginning of June, and finished airing on July 18. Both seasons were just six episodes long. Considering there was a four month break between them, it's reasonable to predict we could have new episodes before the year is out. However, it's just as likely "90 Day Diaries" won't be back until 2022 depending on how long each couple is given to film their footage.

The post-production process is likely quite quick too. As Decider notes, the show isn't heavily edited, at least on its surface, nor are there strict storylines guided by producer interference. For the most part, "90 Day Diaries" simply documents the featured couples' lives however they see fit. As a result, the turnaround for new episodes should be reasonably fast, though the stars might be getting a break for the holiday season, too. Really, only time will tell.

Who's taking part in Season 3 of 90 Day Diaries?

There's a huge cast from which "90 Day Diaries" can pull participants, with a whopping 18 spinoffs at the time of writing, per TV Insider. It's therefore somewhat difficult to parse who could possibly pop up during the third season of "90 Day Diaries." As Reality TV World confirmed, the second season of the hit spinoff widened the scope considerably to include over two dozen "90 Day Fiancé" alumni. Aside from just successful couples showcasing their home lives, and all the drama that entails, season 2 also featured former stars who hadn't managed to make their original relationships work.

Likewise, most of the original cast of "90 Days: The Single Life" also took part in the sophomore season of "90 Day Diaries," alongside alumni from "90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days" and "90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way." Even Season 8 star Tarik Myers' brother Dean Hashim, who featured alongside him on "90 Day Fiancé: Pillow Talk," appeared with his own girlfriend, Rigin Bado. Suffice to say, there's a whole wealth of potential stars who could feasibly take part in Season 3 of "90 Day Diaries."

Canadian fans can finally watch 90 Day Diaries too

Although TLC fans in the States were free to watch the four new "90 Day Fiancé" spinoffs on Discovery+ from the beginning of the year, Canadian viewers had to wait much longer to catch up with their favorite reality stars. As Screen Rant notes, fans north of the border felt cheated out of the new content and resorted to using VPNs and other means to try to catch "90 Day Diaries," et al. Thankfully, on October 19, 2021, Discovery+ finally launched in Canada. CEO of Discovery Streaming and International, JB Perrette, enthused in a press release, via Variety, "We are thrilled to launch Discovery Plus in Canada, a country of devoted Discovery fans and home to many of the most beloved stars in our family."
