And yet, as weird as this year has been for celebrity pairings, nobody saw Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson coming.
Per the New York Post, the rumored couple has been spotted hanging out in New York City, SoCal, and even the comedian's native Staten Island. And although neither party has even confirmed they're dating just yet, a source from Kamp Kardashian made it clear: "This is not a stunt."
The insider added, "Kim doesn't need to do that, that's not her style. There's plenty of other things she could do to get attention." According to this chatty source, it's very early in the relationship to even call it that, but suffice it to say, both Kardashian and the "Saturday Night Live" star Davidson are single and ready to mingle. Moreover, her friends are fully behind the relationship. They consider the comedian "funny and charming" and think he's a good match for Kardashian, particularly after everything she went through with ex-husband and baby daddy Kanye West. One friend did acknowledge, however, "A lot of us are like, 'What the f***?' But you know, she's happy!"
This latest development suggests there definitely is something romantic afoot, though, no matter how coy they've been.

The rumor mill went into overdrive with the news that Pete Davidson celebrated his birthday with none other than Kim Kardashian by his side. The revelation came after Flavor Flav, of all people, shared a shot of the alleged couple posing alongside him and Kris Jenner to Instagram.
"Celebrating my adopted son Pete Davidson's birthday wit the legendz @kimkardashian and @krisjenner," the rapper captioned the shot. Kardashian reportedly threw the party for Davidson at her mother's lush Palm Springs abode, according to People. "Even when they are on different coasts, Kim and Pete stay in touch," an insider noted to the outlet. "They are getting to know each other better and getting along great." The source also revealed, "Kim loves his spark. He is very funny, entertaining and makes Kim happy. They are still dating and enjoying it. He showers Kim with compliments and she loves it."
Kardashian and Davidson crossed paths for the first time during Kardashian's well-received "SNL" hosting stint. They even smooched during an "Aladdin"-themed skit. They were first linked romantically after photos emerged in late October of them openly holding hands on a theme park ride. They've since been papped several times on what appear, at least to outsiders, to be intimate dates. She filed for divorce from Kanye West in February, while Davidson split from Phoebe Dynevor in August, so the timing could be ideal.
