Kate Middleton's Latest Hairstyle Is Turning Heads

There's no doubt that Kate Middleton is one of the most stylish members of the royal family. Every outfit she dons vies for attention — bright tailored coats, sensible pumps, and timeless silhouettes are known to become the talk of the town. Kate often goes for a classic — and sometimes even affordable! — look, with stores selling out of their products the moment the Duchess of Cambridge wears them. Kate even sometimes repeats her favorite ensembles, like the time she re-wore this green Erdem coat that Prince William once joked was a "bit bright."

In a mid-November outing, however, it wasn't necessarily Kate's fashion choice that caught everyone's eye. It was moreso how she wore her hair, which was a departure from how she typically styles her rich chestnut locks. This week, the duchess has once again left the world speechless with an especially stunning dress — and a hairstyle to go with it.

Kate Middleton wore her hair in curls

Earlier this week, Kate Middleton and Prince William celebrated the eleventh anniversary of their engagement — and countless years of speculation. Possibly as a continuation of the occasion, the royals attended the Royal Variety Performance, a show that fundraises for the Royal Variety Charity, according to People. Per its website, Royal Variety Charity supports the work of entertainers across the country and has Queen Elizabeth, William's grandmother and Kate's grandmother-in-law, as its sole patron.

To honor the event, the Duchess of Cambridge wore a dark emerald green gown from Jenny Packham — the exact dress she'd worn for a royal tour of Pakistan in 2019, according to Harper's Bazaar. For the outing in 2019, Kate had put her hair up to show off her earrings. But for the 2021 iteration, she decided to wear her hair down. She opted for curls as opposed to her usual slightly wavy blowout, sweeping them to the side to reveal Missoma gold chandelier earrings, per Mirror. (See above!) The new hairdo only elevated the Kate's outfit, clearly stealing the sartorial spotlight.
