Everything We Know About The Days Of Our Lives Spin-Off Movie

In September, NBC used its streaming platform, Peacock, to feature "Days of Our Lives" in a way it had never done before. It produced a mini-series that was an extension of the soap that airs daily on network TV but with its own adventure storyline that used both current characters and past favorites on "Days of Our Lives: Beyond Salem," per Soap Hub.

During the five-episode series that dropped each morning for a week, your favorite Salemites traveled all over the world to find jewels belonging to the Alamainian Peacock in order to save the world from destruction. Of course, John Black (Drake Hogestyn), Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall), Billie Reed (Lisa Rinna), Shane Donovan (Charles Shaughnessy), Tony DiMera (Thaao Penghlis), and Anna DiMera (Leann Hunley), among others, managed to do this.

"Days of Our Lives: Beyond Salem" was as successful for Peacock as your favorite "DOOL" characters were at saving the world, so NBC has ordered another Peacock special, this one called "Days of Our Lives: A Very Salem Christmas."

Days of Our Lives' Christmas movie will feature more old favorites

Rather than presenting a five-episode mini-series, this time Peacock will give us a "Days of Our Lives" movie in "Days of Our Lives: A Very Salem Christmas." According to TV Insider, the movie will feature Chandler Massey's character, writer Will Horton, as he works on a deadline to finish a Christmas movie script. We get to see the inner workings of Will's mind as the longtime character imagines his family and friends in the holiday spirit.

Just like with "Days of Our Lives: Beyond Salem," "Days of Our Lives: A Very Salem Christmas" will feature a host of current characters on the regular show, as well as past characters who make their way into Will's script. Fans will get to see actors Deidre Hall (Marlena), Eileen Davidson (Kristen DiMera), Jackée Harry (Paulina Price), Drake Hogestyn (John Black), Camila Banus (Gabi Hernandez), Alison Sweeney (Sami Brady), Arianne Zucker (Nicole Walker), Raven Bowens (Chanel Dupree), Eric Martsolf (Brady Black), Billy Flynn (Chad DiMera), Paul Telfer (Xander Kiriakis), Lindsay Arnold (Allie Horton), Lucas Adams (Tripp Dalton), Carson Boatman (Johnny DiMera), Greg Rikaart (Leo Stark), Dan Feuerriegel (EJ DiMera), Zach Tinker (Sonny Kiriakis), and Blake Berris (Nick Fallon), per TV Insider.

"Days of Our Lives: A Very Salem Christmas" is set to drop on Peacock on December 16.
