Will Kim Kardashian And Kanye West Spend The Holidays Together?

Kim Kardashian filed for divorce from her husband Kanye West in early 2021. While there has been some speculation that the pair could reconcile, Kardashian appeared to put those rumors to rest when she filed to become legally single and drop her estranged husband's last name amid their divorce proceedings (via Buzzfeed).

In addition, court documents filed by Kardashian's lawyer on December 10 reveal that the reality star has no desire to work on the marriage. "[Kardashian] has no desire to reconcile with [West] and wants their marriage terminated. Irreconcilable differences have led to the irremediable breakdown of the marriage, and there is no possibility of saving the marriage through counseling or other means," the docs read (via TMZ).

"Irreconcilable differences have existed and continue to exist between [West] and me, which have caused our marriage to irretrievably break down. No counseling or reconciliation effort will be of any value at this time," Kardashian said in the documents. "[West] and I both deserve the opportunity to build new lives. Therefore, I am asking that my request to bifurcate and terminate our marital status be granted."

While it seems that Kardashian and West aren't on the same page when it comes to their personal relationship, they are hopeful that they'll be able to co-parent successfully. Of course, the holidays may be a bit different for the family this year.

Kim and Kanye continue to navigate their divorce

While Kim Kardashian and Kanye West figure out their new normal amid their ongoing divorce, the pair appear to remain focused on their four children, North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm. US Weekly reports that West "will be invited to all holidays and family celebrations" despite the couple's split, as sources tell the outlet that Kardashian "wants Kanye to be a big part of the kids' lives." However, Kardashian has no further interest in a romantic relationship with West. "Kim worked for so long to make her and Kanye's marriage work and it didn't," the insider said. "She will continue to co-parent, have him in her life for the kids, but she is not going to be back with him romantically. Kim has already moved on."

Meanwhile, it's unclear if Kardashian's new beau, Pete Davidson, will attend any of the family's holiday gatherings. Kardashian and Davidson were first linked back in October, and sources tell People that he's "exactly what Kim needed after her divorce." Despite her new romance, Kardashian is making sure to include West in the holidays.

Kardashian recently took to Instagram to show off her lavish holiday decorations. In the video, the KKW Beauty founder panned across her home to reveal her family's white Christmas stockings, which included one with West's name embroidered on it. Only time will tell if Kardashian and West can settle their divorce amicably. However, it appears that Kardashian is doing what she can to keep the peace this holiday season.
