How Many Babies Have Been Born On The Bold And The Beautiful?

There's nothing like a good old complicated soap opera pregnancy to throw a wrench in marriages, budding romances, and even adulterous affairs.

Not only do you get drama throughout the pregnancy, but you eventually get a whole new character for a soap to develop. And it doesn't even take that long because the magic of soap opera aging can turn a toddler into a teenager in the blink of an eye.

On "The Bold and the Beautiful," Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) could rarely have a child without going all-in on high drama.

All of her children have been born on-screen, with her learning that daughter Bridget really belonged to her ex-husband, Eric Forrester, and not his son, Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye), when Bridget was already in her teens.

Brooke's other daughter, Hope, is a result of Brooke's affair with Bridget's husband, Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan). When Brooke gave birth in 2004, for the last time, she wasn't sure whether Nick Marone (Jack Wagner) or Ridge fathered her son RJ. Ridge turned out to be the winner.

As of 2017, TV Over Mind reported 17 births occurring in the 30 years "B&B" had been on the air at that point. In the five years since, three other children have been born — with one man in contention to be the father of all three. (It turned out he only fathered two of them.)

With 20 babies born on the show since 1987, let's take a look back at the most recent three events.

Steffy becomes pregnant after an affair with her husband's father

Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) had already miscarried Liam Spencer's (Scott Clifton) child before they were married. When she learned she was pregnant in 2017 after finally becoming Liam's wife, it should have been a joyous occasion.

But, of course, she had to have a paternity test done behind Liam's back because — whoops — she had a one-night stand with Liam's dad, Bill Spencer (Don Diamont), after learning Liam had kissed Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) when they were trapped under the rubble of Bill's skyscraper and thought they were going to die.

Liam turned out to be her baby's father, but he was so incensed when he learned there was any question as to whom the baby belonged to that he left Steffy crying hysterically on the ground, begging for him to return. Steffy pulled herself together and essentially went through her pregnancy on her own and gave birth to a little girl named Kelly

Liam was ready to reunite with her when he met his daughter, but, while he was apart from Steffy, he slept with Hope Logan (Annika Noelle), and she was now pregnant, with no question as to who fathered her child. Liam opted to divorce Steffy and marry Hope as they awaited the birth of their new baby.

Hope gives birth and Steffy ends up with her baby

Steffy was adjusting to life as a single mom and decided Kelly needed to have a sister close in age like she did, as she grew up with a twin sister, Phoebe, who was killed in a car crash as a young adult.

So, Steffy's mom, Taylor Hayes (then played by Hunter Tylo), found her a baby to adopt, and Steffy believed everything was legal. Steffy named her new baby Phoebe and was thrilled to be the mother of two girls.

Just before Steffy adopted Phoebe, Hope had given birth in a clinic on Catalina Island and was told her little girl, Beth, was stillborn. Hope and Liam mourned their daughter, not knowing the doctor who delivered the baby kidnapped her and sold her to Taylor for Steffy to adopt.

Nearly a year later, the truth came out. Hope was overjoyed to have her baby back, and Steffy was heartbroken to have a child she loved as her own ripped from her arms.

Steffy is pregnant again and Liam may be the father — again

Liam Spencer learned to split his time between his wife, his ex-wife, and his two daughters. However, when he saw Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) kissing a mannequin who looked eerily like Hope, he thought it was Hope and that she was having an affair.

That led him to show up on Steffy's doorstep to drown his sorrows. The pair ended up getting drunk and sleeping together, and, of course, Steffy found herself pregnant a few weeks later, having no idea if Liam, or her new boyfriend, Finn (Tanner Novlan), was her baby's father.

A paternity test revealed that Liam was the father, but they soon learned the results had been switched by Vinny Walker (Joe LoCicero), the lab tech who wanted Liam away from Hope so that his best friend, Thomas, could be with her.

Steffy and Finn were thrilled that Liam would have no part in this new baby and happily went through the rest of her pregnancy, which resulted in an emotional water birth in a kiddie pool on Steffy's living room floor. All in a day's work for a "Bold and the Beautiful" birth.
