The 1980 movie, which starred Parton, empowered women to take up more space in the American workforce.

Parton will be making an appearance (or two) in the documentary, which will feature a brand new version of Parton's "9 to 5" song, recorded by Parton and Kelly Clarkson, along with other interviews with the film's stars, like Lily Tomlin, to discuss the legacy of "9 to 5."

Recently, Parton also announced that she would be releasing a new album, "Run, Rose, Run," to accompany a novel of the same name that she wrote with author James Patterson, which is set to be released in March 2022.
