Here's Where You Know 1,000-Lb. Best Friends' Vanessa And Meghan From

Coming off the success of "1,000-Lb. Sisters," TLC is gearing up to launch a similar series, called "1000-Lb. Best Friends." The brand new series follows best friends Vannessa Cross and Meghan Crumpler as they attempt to shed weight together. In a clip of the show, which is set to premiere on TLC on Monday, the pair reveal that they previously had a combined weight of around 1,000 pounds (hence the title of the show), but Crumpler has since undergone weight loss surgery, per People. Cross has yet to lose the weight required to qualify for the special surgery. Two other friends, Ashely Sutton and Tina Arnold, will also be appearing in the series from time to time.

During an interview with TV Insider, Crumpler spoke about the power of her friend group and how they have all kept each other accountable on their different weight loss journeys. "Because knowing that they're on the same thing, losing weight, that I am, if I want to mess up, if I'm having a really bad day, stressed out, and I'm at the gas station and I'm looking at the row of pastries and I just want one, I can call any of them girls at any time and be like, 'Look, this is what's going through my mind,' and they'll be like, 'Oh my God! I went through that two days ago. Yeah, this is what we gotta do. They'll show me how to overcome that, and that's just hard to find," Crumpler told the outlet.

Cross and Crumpler previously starred in the first episode of TLC's Too Large

Vannessa Cross and Meghan Crumpler have previously discussed their shared weight loss journey in another show. As The Cinemaholic reported, Cross and Crumpler starred in the first episode of the first season of Discovery+'s "Too Large," a show similar to "My 600-lb Life" that showcases weight loss struggles experienced by a new person (or people) on their way to receiving bariatric surgery each episode. Cross and Crumpler's episode premiered in 2021. While on the show, Cross, who was relying on a food pantry to receive her food, struggled to lose enough weight to qualify for bariatric surgery while her friend, Crumpler, managed to lose around 40 pounds by the end of the friends' episode — which was more than enough to qualify for the weight loss surgery that both women wanted to receive.

In "1,000-Lb. Best Friends," Cross hopes to finally receive that weight loss surgery. "Meghan got the surgery and I didn't, but maintaining my diet has been damn near impossible but I'm sick and tired of being fat and tired," Cross said in a preview clip of the show, per E! News. There will also be plenty of opportunities for laughs on the new show, as the Cross, Crumpler, and their friends Ashely Sutton and Tina Arnold go on fun-filled camping trips, outrageous exercise classes, and other adventures.
