With red being the "it" color of choice for Hollywood's most glamorous women at the 94th Annual Academy Awards, Tracee Ellis Ross did not disappoint. She joined other actresses like this year's Best Supporting Actress winner Ariana DeBose who took home a statue for "West Side Story," as well as presenters Rosie Perez and Jennifer Garner (via Town & Country).
When Ross walked out to present the award for Best Adapted Screenplay with co-presenter Shawn Mendes, she stunned in a ruby red Carolina Herrera gown with a mermaid hemline and matching shawl wrap over her shoulders. She even wore a stunning Niwaka necklace to complement the old-time Hollywood ensemble with a very modern kick, according to Town & Country. However, all eyes couldn't help but go to her neckline, which some might say was way beyond plunging. In fact, it looked as if Ross could have had a wardrobe malfunction reminiscent of Janet Jackson's wardrobe malfunction at the 2004 Super Bowl and social media couldn't stop talking about it (via Women's Health).

As Tracee Ellis Ross presented the nominees and then the winner for Best Adapted Screenplay (the Oscar went to Sian Heder for "CODA", per The Guardian), viewers at home couldn't help noticing how little coverage Ross' gown offered and were impressed it managed to stay up while she was on stage."Tracee Ellis Ross trusts that dress more than I've ever trusted anybody, " wrote one Twitter user. Another Twitter user expressed fear watching Ross present, saying, "I love Tracee Ellis Ross, but her dress makes me nervous. I'm afraid [her] boob is about to pop out." Finally, another Twitter user felt fear for Ross and what she could have experienced. "Love me some @TraceeEllisRoss, but not a huge fan of this dress," the user wrote. "Maybe it's just me.
