Jill Duggar Dillard's Latest Pregnancy Update Is Beyond Relatable
Jill Duggar Dillard's Instagram bio perfectly sums up her life. In addition to being a "Christ follower," "earthy," and a "former TLC star," the fourth child of the famous "19 Kids & Counting" family is also a happily wed wife and mother to two sons, with another on the way. On February 27, 2022, she and her husband Derick Dillard announced that they were expecting again. "We are excited to announce that God has answered our prayers and we are expecting our rainbow baby due July 2022," the couple shared on social media.
The news was particularly joyous in light of the fact that Jill had miscarried just a few months earlier — a baby they posthumously named River Bliss, per their family blog. Happily, this new pregnancy is progressing well, despite a scare in early March 2022 when both Jill and Derick contracted a mild case of COVID-19, per People. Once they were both on the mend, the couple scheduled a trip to the doctor to find out the gender of their baby on the way. They were overjoyed to learn that they were expecting another boy to join big brothers Israel, almost 7, and Samuel, 4. "Thinking maybe we should pad our house and turn it into a trampoline park," Jill joked.
With four months to go, Jill is getting ready to experience diapers and midnight feedings again. However, she recently revealed that she wasn't quite ready for a pregnancy milestone familiar to moms everywhere.
Jill Duggar Dillard is embracing maternity fashion
Expectant moms usually have a few grace-period months before their regular clothes become too small to accommodate a growing belly bump. At five months pregnant, Jill Duggar Dillard thought she had a little more time. However, on March 30, 2022, she took to Instagram to share the details of an unexpected shopping trip. "Got out in the rain today with a couple of my favorite people to get some maternity jeans and thankfully we found a pair!" she wrote. "I was to that point...when you've waited just a little too late in the pregnancy and the button hole/rubber-band & belly-band trick just isn't cutting it anymore! Anyone else feel me?" Judging by the more than 50,000 likes, many moms did.
Jill posted the picture seen here as proof that trying to keep her regular pants up with a heavy elastic band was a lost cause. Fortunately, the Arkansas mom lives close to everyone's favorite department store. When a follower asked, "Where did you find maternity jeans?? I've been trying to find a pair!", Jill replied, "Thankfully Target to the rescue!" Another fan asked Jill how she's feeling after her recent bout with COVID-19. "Feeling so much better now! Thank you!" she replied.
