Source Reveals The Real Reason Travis Scott Was Absent From The Kardashians Premiere

All eyes were on Pete Davidson when the "SNL" star finally stepped out for a red carpet event with his girlfriend Kim Kardashian for the premier of "The Kardashians." Oh, and we also couldn't stop looking at the reality star's liquid dress! Khloé Kardashian brough an awfully cute date to the premiere as well — her daughter with Tristan Thompson, True, later sharing snaps from the adorable tot's red carpet moment on Instagram.

But one person was conspicuously absent from the event. Of course we speak of Kendall Jenner, who had to miss the premiere of the Hulu show due to illness. As a source confided to E!, the model "tried really hard to be there and support the family but was really sick."

Another star also skipped the event. Indeed, Kylie Jenner's boyfriend and the father of her kids, Travis Scott, was not on hand to pose for photogs and more importantly, support his mogul other half. Why? According to a source, the rapper's absence was out of consideration for the family.

Travis Scott will appear on the show although he didn't attend the premiere

It seems Travis Scott thought his appearance at the premiere of "The Kardashians" would be a distraction, as a source revealed to Hollywood Life. "Travis thought that if he was at the premiere, he would have taken away from what the night was meant to be," the insider confided to the outlet. "He has a lot of things to deal with and if he was out at a premiere having a fun time, he knows exactly how that would look like," the source added.

Of course, the artist's world — and those of many victims and families —changed forever in November of 2021 when a crowd surge at his Astroworld Festival in Texas left ten people dead (via ABC News). Since the tragedy, Scott has stayed out of the spotlight, with one report claiming a storyline about the concert that was filmed for "The Kardashians" was edited out since there is an ongoing investigation surrounding the events (via Radar Online).

That said, Hollywood Life reports that Scott will appear on the series, and that he was busy with dad duties the night of the premiere anyway. "Travis wanted to let Kylie shine and he was watching the kids," a source shared. We guess it all worked out for the best!
