Mary Elizabeth Winstead And Ewan McGregor Might Be Taking A Huge Step In Their Relationship

Unlikely couple Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Ewan McGregor continue to go from strength to strength, after initially meeting on the set of TV's "Fargo." Per Us Weekly, the actors started seeing each other officially in October 2017, after Winstead split from her husband, Riley Stearns, whom she married in 2010. The "Scott Pilgrim" star was spotted getting cozy with McGregor in London soon after her breakup was made public, with an eyewitness claiming the two "seemed relaxed in each other's company."

Meanwhile, McGregor's divorce from wife and mother of his four children, Eve Mavrakis, was confirmed by TMZ in 2018, with the filing listed as a year previous. The couple was married for 22 years, welcoming two children together and adopting an additional two. McGregor and Winstead keep their relationship private for the most part, with the "Birds of Prey" co-stars welcoming their first child together, a boy named Laurie, in 2021, as People reported at the time. The surprise news was shared by his adult kids.

They were photographed out and about with the newborn a month later, per The Mirror, but remain tight-lipped about their home life in general. Now, reports suggest the happy couple is preparing to take the next step in their relationship.

In fact, the happy couple is getting married this Friday, in Los Angeles, according to a source close to them. The insider gushed, "They are more in love than ever — and having their first child together last year just strengthened their bond." The "Fargo" co-stars purchased a home in Topanga Canyon together in 2019, with McGregor finalizing his divorce the following year. Moreover, in a 2019 chat with Men's Journal, the actor acknowledged feeling "better" and "lighter" these days, confirming, "I am happier. I think that's true." As for Winstead, she admitted to Glamour UK in 2020 that dealing with a divorce after such a lengthy relationship was incredibly difficult. "I was really starting new as an adult for the first time in my life," the actor opined. Thankfully, it seems McGregor helped enormously with the transition.
