Jed Duggar Shares Happy Family News

Since the Duggar family's TLC shows, "19 Kids and Counting" and "Counting On" have been canceled, it might be harder for fans to keep up with what they're doing these days. "Counting On" was given the axe by the network following the trial of the family's eldest son, Josh Duggar, for possession of child pornography, per People

Many of the Duggar kids took the cancellation in stride and have become active online for their fans to keep up with their every move. Most of the family members have Instagram accounts, some have blogs, and several of the older kids are starting their own YouTube channels to keep broadcasting to their fans around the world, per Showbiz Cheat Sheet. Jill, Joy Ana, and Jessa Duggar have moved on to have highly successful YouTube channels. 

Jedidah Duggar followed in his family's footsteps, launching his own Instagram and YouTube following his marriage last year to Katey Nakatsu. It was through both Instagram and YouTube that fans learned that the pair were expecting their first child. Now, the couple has an exciting update to share with their fans. 

The couple have welcomed their first child

Fans were slightly shocked when it was announced that Jed Duggar had tied the knot with Katey Nakatsu following a year of dating, per E! News. Duggar wrote a heartfelt caption on Instagram about his new wife, stating, "For a long time I have prayed for my future spouse, not knowing who that person would be. God answered my prayers far beyond what I could have ever imagined in Katey!" 

In true Duggar fashion, it wouldn't be long before the couple announced they were expecting their first child with a controversial Instagram post that said, "She tested positive, but not for Covid," per Us Weekly. Fans weren't too happy with the caption but were excited for the couple.

The Duggars announced that their son was born, per The U.S. Sun. They took to Instagram to share their happy news, writing, "He's here! We love you so much, baby True! Truett Oliver Duggar. Born Monday, May 2, 6:34 pm. 8 lb 5 oz, 20.5 inches." They went on to explain the meaning behind his name," Truett: "warrior for Christ" Oliver: ”peace."
