How Tarek El Moussa Is Helping Heather Rae Young Endure IVF

"Selling Sunset" star Heather Rae Young has been candid about her ongoing fertility journey, keeping fans updated on her progress through social media, in particular. Although she and husband Tarek El Moussa have been trying to get pregnant for a while, during a recent appearance on "Daily Pop," via E! News, the reality star suggested they might be putting their plans on hold.

"I have a crazy, busy next few months coming up, and I don't want to go into it being pregnant," she shared. "We're gonna do it sometime this year, maybe in fall. So, that's kind of my plan. I keep pushing it off."

However, Young acknowledged that they wanted to implant soon enough, but, because of her recent vocal cord surgery and foot injury, the Netflix star just doesn't feel up to it. Moreover, being a stepmother to El Moussa's two children is giving her plenty of insight into what it takes to raise a kid.

"I know I'm gonna be a good mom. But, carrying your own and going through that and the pregnancy, and I don't know how my body's going to react," Young explained, noting that life is flying by at the moment.

Per People, the couple's egg freezing, earlier this year, didn't give them the expected outcome. In her Instagram Stories, the reality star confirmed that she had four good follicles out of a possible five.

Thankfully, regardless of how tough the journey gets, Young has a dedicated support system to lean on.

Heather Rae Young couldn't do it without Tarek El Moussa and his kids

Heather Rae Young is struggling with her fertility journey, but, thankfully, the reality star has beloved husband Tarek El Moussa and his two children to rely on. In an interview with Us Weekly, Young gushed that having their support means the world to her.

In fact, the "Selling Sunset" star wants to keep the kids abreast of everything that's happening so they understand when she's at her lowest. "They'd sing with me and hold my hand and stand in the bathroom with me," Young recalled.

Especially on those days when the real estate agent can't even manage to drag herself out of bed, having that support system available is everything. El Moussa — who shares his son and daughter with ex-wife and "Flip or Flop" co-star Christina Hall — comforts Young by holding her and reassuring her star that she'll feel better once her hormones have calmed down.

"If I didn't have him, I don't know how I would have gotten through it," Young admitted, noting that it's emotionally taxing at the best of times.

As ET reports, they weren't originally planning to have children, but, after tying the knot, they started trying. Sadly, it hasn't happened for them just yet, with Young starkly aware of her low egg count since her 20s.

Although the reality star has successfully frozen her eggs, they're still hoping to conceive naturally. The process is ongoing. "It's definitely been rough," Young acknowledged.
