Since playing the lead role in the 1997 blockbuster "Titanic," American actor Leonardo DiCaprio has arguably become one of Hollywood's biggest heartthrobs of all time (via L'Officiel). He scores a lot of points in the looks department, so much so that he has been named one of the "50 Most Beautiful People in the World" by People Magazine.
The Academy Award-winning actor is not only popular for his good looks but he is also well-known for his charming personality, exceptional acting skills, and down-to-earth nature as well. As The Odyssey points out, the actor "uses every aspect of his stardom to make the world a better place."
Throughout his career — which spans more than three decades — the Los Angeles-born actor has dated several actresses and top models, including the likes of Gisele Bündchen, Blake Lively, and Naomi Campbell (via Elle). But despite his long list of flings and romances, the 47-year-old actor has still not tied the knot.
Who has Leonardo DiCaprio dated so far?
Leonardo DiCaprio has a reputation for dating models, and according to The Sun, that began in 1994 when the actor dated Bridget Hall. After their relationship ended, he started seeing British supermodel Naomi Campbell. While he dated an actress next — Kristen Zang — DiCaprio was spotted with Victoria's Secret model Helena Christensen in 1997 before being romantically linked with Czech supermodel Eva Herzigova the very next year.
While the actor's flings with supermodels were reportedly short up until that point, in 2000, he started a five-year relationship with Brazilian supermodel Gisele Bündchen, according to USA Today. Then, from 2006 to 2014, Leo was linked with several other supermodels, including Bar Refaeli, Amber Valletta, Anne Vyalitsyna, Erin Heatherton, and Toni Garrn before dating actress Blake Lively. In 2015, he reportedly started seeing singer Rihanna before moving back to dating models.
He clearly has a type and since May 2017, the "Wolf of Wallstreet" star has been in a steady relationship with model Camila Morrone, according to Cosmopolitan.
Why is Leo DiCaprio not married despite a long dating history?
Even though he has been in several relationships — the longest ones being with Gisele Bündchen and his current girlfriend, Camila Morrone — Leonardo DiCaprio tends to shy away from the topic of marriage and does not seem to have any plans of tying the knot anytime soon.
In fact, in 2014, while speaking to "CBS This Morning" co-host Gayle King, DiCaprio said, "[I]t's gonna happen when it's gonna happen," when he was questioned about his plans for marriage. The same year, during another interview with "CBS Sunday Morning," he admitted that he was not totally averse to the idea of marriage, but was waiting for the right time. "I think everybody, well, not everybody, but I think that, you know, eventually when the time is right, absolutely, yeah," the A-list celebrity said.
Akin to that, in an interview with Parade Magazine, DiCaprio revealed that it was hard to "predict marriage." "That time will come when that time comes. The truth is, you can't predict marriage. You can't plan it. It's just going to happen when it happens," he told the publication.
