Tamron Hall's Best Looks Ever

Correction 8/4/22: An earlier version of this article misstated the price of Ralph & Russo's Pomegranate Double Silk Satin Feather Draped Dress. It retails for $5,950, not $4,990.

When it comes to daytime TV, viewers' attention is captured by escaping to scandalous soaps, juicy talk show celeb interviews, and, these days, Tamron Hall's outfit of the day. The journalist and talk show host has become daytime's "most fashionable woman," per Vogue, and "television's most stylish news anchor," per Refinery29. Her warmth and friendly smile, coupled with her colorful daily designer ensembles, make her someone you want to watch, a stark contrast to the more subdued looks typical of TV personalities.

In fact, during Hall's time as a morning co-host of the "Today" show, her daily dose of designer fashion even inspired a weekly segment called "Tamron's Tuesday Trend" and her "What I Wore Today" blog (per Vogue), while the tag #outfit of the day on "The Tamron Hall Show" website documents her weekly on-air looks. Hall told Vogue in a December 2020 spread that, while she's loved fashion since she was a kid, the clothes give her an added confidence "boost." "They help me feel confident and just safe in my skin," she explained. "It's your heart, your mind, and all the other things that you bring to the table, but great fashion does provide that boost."

With that said, it's time for you to see just why Tamron Hall has become known as a daytime TV style icon. While it wasn't easy narrowing down her many amazing looks, we've selected a few of our favorites.

Tamron Hall sizzled in red on the runway

In 2016, Tamron Hall had the opportunity to appear on the runway during New York Fashion Week for the "Go Red For Women" Red Dress Collection, the American Heart Association's annual women's initiative to raise awareness and funding for women's heart health, per Hollywood Life. As Hall told Today, "I'm walking in honor of my aunt Josephine." On Twitter, she added, "What a night. I walked in honor of my aunt Josephine. Her spirit gave me confidence tonight. We can save lives!"

While we loved seeing her strut her stuff down the runway in all the bold red dresses, one particular look captured our attention: the red mermaid-silhouette gown adorned all over with embroidered flowers by designer Romona Keveza, per Alamy. According to StyleBistro, the talk show host had her hair styled for the show in what the outlet referred to as a "messy fauxhawk." We think she looks fab.

A garden motif was just enough to make her white pantsuit stand out

It's not easy to carry off a white pantsuit, but if anyone can do it, it's Tamron Hall. In April 2017, the talk show host showed up to the annual Success Makers Summit (via Yahoo!) in white, high-waisted, wide-leg pants, with a matching jacket worn over a black camisole. What distinguished this pantsuit from others, though, is the subtle floral design by the jacket's lapel. The outlet noted that Hall kept her accessories subtle, instead choosing to shine the focus on her gorgeous suit.

The outfit appeared to be a nod to springtime and new beginnings, which, ironically, Hall was prepared to make, with her February 2017 departure from NBC's "Today" show only two months before.

It appears that the star loves this look — so much so that she was spotted wearing a similar style at the Four Seasons in Beverly Hills, California, for a Grammys brunch. This time, she donned a feminine, one-shouldered white pantsuit from Johanna Ortiz decorated with a modern floral motif down the pant leg and on top. The one strap features ruffles that looked like flowers, while a small cutout on top showed just a touch of skin. Of the look, Refinery29 commented, "It doesn't get more excellent than this, people," alongside a photo of Hall, per her Instagram feed.

She looks fresh and ready for spring in stripes

Another fabulous springtime look of Tamron Hall comes in the form of stripes. In July 2017, Hall interviewed former Vogue editor-at-large André Leon Talley. Before the interview, the journalist had lunch with the former stylist and creative director at Fred's in New York City (per the Observer). Talley later shared a picture of his lunch date on Instagram, describing her outfit in the caption as "super glam" and "so Dorothy Dandridge, 2017." He added, "She should be in films! I know she is an incredible beauty and brilliant" — indeed a testament to her sense of style, considering where this compliment came from.

The outfit can best be described as a wrap dress with simple blue and white stripes — not so simple were the outfit's balloon sleeves along with Hall's statement earrings and shades. The journalist was also pictured in the dress on another occasion (as seen in the photo above), this time going lighter on the accessories, letting the dress speak for itself. Simply stunning.

The journalist selected an edgy yet glamorous black gown for the Daytime Emmys

If there's ever an occasion to go glam, it's an awards show. For the 2022 Daytime Emmys, Tamron Hall showed up in what can be described as a black tulle "couture gown with intricate embroidery and voluminous detailing" (via AOL). The gown features a conservative mock neckline, empire waist, capped winged sleeves, lots of sparkles, and a voluminous skirt. Hall's short hair had extra volume for the occasion, while she showed off diamond statement earrings. On the Emmys red carpet, she was seen smiling while posing with singer Michael Bolton, per the Daily Mail.

Later that evening, Hall took home the trophy for Outstanding Informative Talk Show Host for "The Tamron Hall Show," as noted by The Hollywood Reporter. Throughout the show's three seasons, the show has earned 10 Emmy nominations. The talk show host won an Emmy for her role in 2020, per IMDb.

Tamron Hall shined bright in a yellow fringe dress by Proenza Schouler

Anyone who wears yellow demands to be noticed. And Tamron Hall certainly was noticed when she donned Proenza Schouler's textured-knit beaded fringe dress in yellow (via Star Style) in September 2021 to present the keynote address at Variety's Power of Women Virtual Summit. According to its official website description, the event featured "conversations with some of Hollywood's highest-achieving and influential women who are making a positive impact on the industry and their communities."

The form-fitting, show-stopping dress featured a mock neck, elbow-length sleeves finished with black beaded fringe, and a maxi-length tiered skirt adorned with fringe the same color as the dress. The talk show host completed the look with Alaia's bombe patent t-strap sandal in black. The dramatic high-heeled sandals, also available in lavender for $1,250, featured studs of different shapes that were applied by hand. According to Proenza Schouler's official website, the Italian-made dress, also available in white, black, and red, can be yours for a final sale price of $2,394 — 65% off its original retail price of $3,990.

The trendsetter scored big in pale pink and feathers

In 2020, Tamron Hall stepped onto the stage of "The Tamron Hall Show" looking ever so much the fashionista she is in a pale pink Valentino dress with statement feather-trimmed sleeves — which, we have to say, totally made the dress. As Hello! noted, Hall focused on her dress by pairing it with simple, strappy Jimmy Choo Metz 100 stilettos in silver and silver hoop earrings from Dazzle Jewelry Co. One fan complimented the look on social media, writing, "I love the suit from Wednesday and the shoes! Sister can put on those clothes! I've never seen her wear the same thing yet!"

The host's designer dress appears to be sold out, per ShopStyle. Hello! offered up a similar look, the Taller Marmo Gina feather-trimmed dress from Matches Fashion for $1,995. As for the sandals, according to the Hello! article, published December 2020, the shoes retailed for $450 — priced on the lower end for Jimmy Choo. While we couldn't find the specific stilettos on the Jimmy Choo website, there are plenty of other gorgeous sandals to select from. Or, get the look for less elsewhere with a basic silver strappy sandal.

Tamron Hall strutted her stuff in a leather color block dress

As an award-winning journalist and TV talk show host, Tamron Hall has made many public appearances. One such appearance was at Philadelphia Style Magazine's Women of Influence Tea Party with Hall as the guest of honor. The May 2015 event, which took place at The Grand Ballroom at The Rittenhouse on May 8, 2015, coincided with Hall's appearance on the cover of the magazine's May issue of that year. And, since Hall is an alumna of Philadelphia's Temple University, she especially enjoys any chance she gets to visit the historic city.

According to a writeup in Philly ChitChat, the ladies were in love with Hall's leather color block dress. The short, sleeveless brown dress features a pop of orange at the sides and a pleated skirt with thick white stripe. She accessorized her look with a thick gold bangle on one hand and stylish strappy stilettos on her feet.

She showed that less can be more with a statement white cutout dress

In September 2021, Tamron Hall hosted "The Tamron Hall Show" wearing a white knit maxi dress from Alaia that featured cutouts on the skirt and sleeves. After the show, Hall posted a short video to Instagram sharing her thoughts about the episode. Comments included a number of compliments from followers on Hall's look of the day. One fan commented, "WHO IS THE DESIGNER OF YOUR DRESS? [You] look amazing!!!" and another wrote, "This dress is everything!" Others, however, were obsessed with her hard-to-miss blingy earrings.

Per Shop Your TV, the dress was available for sale at Bergdorf Goodman and Neiman Marcus for $4,620. While Hall's exact dress is now sold out, a similar style also from Alaia is available on sale at Cettire for $2,228.77; the only difference is this dress has no cutouts on the sleeves.

In this Balenciaga outfit, Tamron Hall proved that pink and purple isn't just for little girls

In April 2017, Tamron Hall shared a photo on Instagram of her stepping out in New York City wearing Balenciaga ahead of her interview with the late former Vogue editor-at-large André Leon Talley. The daring look featured a hot pink — or, more specifically, "Schiaparelli pink," according to Talley — maxi dress with a conservative mock neck and long sleeves with a very unconservative high slit that showed off her tall, thigh-high spandex boots in bright purple, also by Balenciaga. Observer commented that the daytime host "truly nailed this outfit."

Introducing the fashion legend, per Yahoo!, Hall said that the evening's event, which took place at BAM's Harvey Theater in Brooklyn, served as an "opportunity to go into the heart and soul of what I believe is one of the most amazing human beings to walk the planet."

She looked both sophisticated and playful in a black-and-white polka dot pantsuit

While Tamron Hall enjoys wearing her fair share of colorful, monochromatic outfits, she also knows how to rock a pattern. And, who better to don the very playful pattern of polka dots than Hall? In July 2017, she wore a Monse black-and-white polka dot pantsuit for the Redbook MVP Beauty Awards. She accessorized the look only with hoop earrings, while her nails were polished white to match. At the event, Hall joked that her TV looks were far from reality. "I live in a TV world where easily you can think my life is glamorous, but I know I wake up looking like a black Bart Simpson," she said. "It takes a lot of things to make me look that way" (via People).

Hall later shared a photo of herself on Instagram taken backstage. In the caption, she thanked various vendors — Monse and Net-A-Porter for the outfit, Johnny Wright for her hair, and Vincent Longo for her makeup. The pantsuit was sold as separates on Net-A-Porter (the blazer for $2,290 and the pants for $1,390), per Fashionista. However, the outfit appears to be unavailable for sale these days.

It appears that Hall is a fan of polka dots since she wore a similar look, a black-and-white polka dot dress by Saint Laurent, on an April 2022, episode of her talk show (via Worn on TV), looking fabulous as always.

The style icon killed it in hot pink and feathers

Another of Tamron Hall's best looks was a showstopper. At the Daytime Emmy Awards, held June 25, 2021, she strolled onstage in a hot pink, silk, off-shoulder gown by Ralph & Russo, per Star Style. Our favorite part of the gown is the heavily feathered neckline, described as "completed with ostrich feathers." The designer's website further describes the look as "Vintage Glamour, the theme that inspired Ralph & Russo's AW20 Collection," and "harnessing an artful drape and a perfectly placed thigh split."

The dress, officially called the Pomegranate Double Silk Satin Feather Draped Dress, is still available for purchase in several sizes, according to the designer's official website, that is, if you can cough up an extra $5,950.

Tamron Hall showed what a statement neckline can do in her 2020 Oscars gown

Tamron Hall showed her love for a statement neckline in another gown, this time at the 2020 Academy Awards held on February 9 at the Dolby Theatre, per Fashion Sizzle. Known as the Theia Empress gown, the sleek black gown featured a gorgeous turtleneck neckline adorned with pearls, extending to more pearls arranged in a floral pattern. New York Trend NYC described the gown as "cut from black matte satin, featuring a hand-embroidered pearl yoke and collar, inset with flowers hand made with wafer-thin shimmering mother of pearl petals." Simply stunning.

On Twitter, Hall shared a photo of her posing in the gown on the Oscars red carpet alongside a photo of a young girl, whom Hall nicknamed "Mini Tamron," posing in the same dress! She wrote, "My Oscars look got the famous @toddlewood treatment. Mini Tamron, aka Daniella Wallace, is adorable!!!! Go to @tamronhallshow for the reveal and how they did it. What a fun post-Oscar show."

She's the image of edgy cool in a black-and-white graphic print dress accessorized by black pearls

For a less glamorous, more edgy look, the journalist and TV talk show host donned a graphic print dress in black and white from designer Isa Arfen, a line from Serafina Sama, an Italian-born designer who now operates out of London, per the Observer

The short, off-the-shoulder black dress with white print featured a slit at the neckline, allowing the fabric to drape just a bit in a fashion-forward way, while ties at the sleeves add a funky vibe. Hall accessorized the fun look with black strapless sandals and a string of black beads tied around her neck and hanging loose.

The Observer noted that the dress showed Hall's penchant for wearing styles from new and emerging designers and that we can expect to see much more from this designer now that she has received a grant from the British Fashion Council.

Her leopard-print dress and tall boots made a statement

Tamron Hall debuted another fun, funky look that can be easily dressed up or down, this time on another episode of "The Tamron Hall Show." She looked ever so adorable in a leopard-print mini dress from Marc Jacobs that she paired perfectly with black over-the-knee boots by Stella McCartney, according to Hello!. A lover of hoop earrings, Hall this time chose a funky pair of metallic hoops with black accents, perfectly coordinating with her outfit.

The outlet noted that the dress was available at Net-A-Porter for $350, while the boots were also available via the online retailer for $1,165 — revealing the outfit's mix of higher and lower-priced items. While the exact boots worn by Hall don't appear to be still available, we spotted two similar pairs from Stella McCartney on sale at Nordstrom — the Emilie Platform Chelsea Boot and the Emilie Faux Shearling Lined Tall Boot — both, as of this writing, marked down 60% from $975 to $390!
