The Young And The Restless Star Jason Canela Shares Exciting Family News In A Super-Cute Way
It's been a long time since fans have seen Arturo Rosales on "The Young and the Restless," but that doesn't mean his portrayer Jason Canela hasn't been keeping busy. Along with his daytime television work, he's had roles in "Mrs. American Pie," "The Rookie" and the Netflix film, "Always Be My Maybe," per IMDb. Thankfully, "The Young and the Restless" writers didn't put Arturo on the chopping block the same way they did with Rey Rosales' death, which made it easy for Canela to return to the hit CBS soap when needed.
In 2019, he told Soap Central that switching from Spanish-speaking soaps to English-speaking has been a "wild ride." He said, "I had spent some time working on some Spanish soaps in Miami, and I prayed to God that it wasn't going to be what I experienced there in regards to production. Granted, it's been ten years, and a lot may have changed, but back then, it was pure chaos."
Well, it seems like Canela is going to expect a little more chaos on his life — but the good kind — as he just shared some excited news in a super cute way.
Jason Canela is going to be a father
"The Young and the Restless" star Jason Canela's real-life partner, model Janaina Canela shared a series of Instagram photos of her holding two pregnancy tests with Jason looking on with disbelief behind her. Clearly, he was being cheeky as Janaina captioned her pics with, "It's official... I've peed on about 24 of these things and it looks like our little baby Canela will be joining the party early 2023 we already love you so much and feel so blessed to be your parents our sweet little one. Thank you God for this blessing."
Back in 2020, Jason told Soap Opera Digest that he and Janaina got married in a small, court ceremony because of the pandemic. He told the publication, "Married life has been great! We both have been blessed to come from wonderful, close families and we've talked about our future of having kids. What's great is that we're both clear-minded on where our focus is and that right now is work."
