The Truth About Hannah Brown's Relationship With Tyler C

Hannah Brown's season of The Bachelorette, which premiered on May 13, 2019, can best be described as a whirlwind of drama, both onscreen and offscreen. Seasoned Bachelor Nation members know to take host Chris Harrison's promises of "the most dramatic season ever" with a grain of salt, but, in the case of The Bachelorette's 15th season, Harrison was hardly exaggerating. Viewers were shocked to see Brown reject a proposal from mega-popular contestant Tyler Cameron during her season finale, only to accept a proposal from Jed Wyatt — an aspiring country music star who admitted to Brown on their first one-on-one date that he'd originally come on the show solely to promote his career. Oh, and did we mention Wyatt's alleged girlfriend?

In a shocking twist, it was revealed during the After the Final Rose special that the Bachelorette had ended her relationship with Wyatt upon learning he'd lied to her multiple times throughout their short engagement. Now, it seems Brown has her sights set on possibly rekindling her romance with Cameron — but does he feel the same way? Here's the truth about Hannah Brown's relationship with Tyler Cameron.

Tyler Cameron was initially supportive of Hannah Brown's engagement to Jed Wyatt

Tyler Cameron was visibly shaken when Hannah Brown stopped him mid-proposal and confessed that she'd fallen in love with Jed Wyatt. Despite his own heartbreak, however, Cameron made sure to let Brown know he only wished happiness and "success" for her engagement and future with Wyatt. Of course, as Bachelor Nation learned during the second night of the After the Final Rose special (via Entertainment Tonight), Brown and Wyatt's engagement was far from successful, due largely to Brown discovering that Wyatt was in a relationship during his time on The Bachelorette.

"When she told me that it was not me, and that it was Jed, I was in full support because I thought she was going to be in good hands," Cameron revealed to host Chris Harrison on After the Final Rose, as reported by Life & Style. "It's been tough to see her go through what she's gone through. But she's a fighter ... the world is hers."

Hannah Brown said Tyler Cameron was "the scary choice"

We've all found ourselves watching a horror movie and yelling at the main character to never go upstairs. Of course, said main character will undoubtedly never heed our warnings because, well, they can't hear us. The same could be said for Hannah Brown's season of The Bachelorette. When news broke of Jed Wyatt allegedly having a girlfriend while competing for Brown's heart, many fans found it difficult to watch Jed Wyatt woo the Bachelorette with four-chord tunes without wanting to jump inside their televisions and warn her of what was to come. If everyone else could clearly see that Tyler Cameron was the perfect choice for Brown, why couldn't she?

As they say, hindsight is 20/20, and it seems Brown finally has the clarity she'd been searching for all along. Speaking with People, Brown explained why she chose Wyatt over Cameron, saying, "He was the scary choice, and Jed was more familiar. In that moment, [choosing Wyatt] felt like the safest, best decision I could make."

Hannah Brown was never 100 percent sure about her decision to let Tyler Cameron go

Generally speaking, when one accepts a marriage proposal from another person, it's safe to assume they feel quite confident in their decision. After all, in the real world, a person usually has more than a two-month time span to decide if they want to spend their lives married to someone whom they've essentially just met. Needless to say, the Bachelor franchise is far from an accurate representation of the real world. With so much pressure to find a soulmate in such a short amount of time, it should come as no surprise that some leads remain conflicted about their decision long after filming has wrapped.

In an interview with People, Hannah Brown revealed that she fell in love with both Tyler Cameron and Jed Wyatt, which led to massive amounts of uncertainty and confusion even after accepting Wyatt's proposal.

"I think that was the hardest part [of the process], is I didn't feel I was done with Tyler," Brown admitted, adding, "I kept trying to tell myself, 'You're 100 percent sure,' ... but now, being honest, I don't think I was 100 percent sure, ever."

Tyler Cameron has remained Hannah Brown's biggest fan

When Hannah Brown broke Tyler Cameron's heart just as he was ready to get down on one knee and propose to her in Greece, the devastated contestant didn't question the Bachelorette's decision, and he didn't seem to hold any ill will toward her either. Instead, while the two exchanged tearful goodbyes, Cameron told Brown that he would always be cheering her on from the sidelines. "That's gonna hurt, but I'm still going to be your biggest fan, rooting for you," Cameron assured a visibly moved Brown. "And I'm wishing you and Jed nothing but success."

While Cameron and Brown reportedly saw each other for the first time post-breakup on the second night of the After the Final Rose special, the former football player took to social media several times throughout Brown's Bachelorette season to express his unwavering support. From rushing to her defense when Bachelor Nation alum James Taylor criticized her behavior on the show to praising her on Twitter for being "so damn powerful," it seems Cameron certainly held up his promise to remain Brown's number one fan.

Hannah Brown was Tyler Cameron's second girlfriend

Tyler Cameron might have handled his relationship, breakup, and possible reconciliation with Hannah Brown like a total pro, but, according to a July 2019 interview on The Viall Files with Nick Viall, Brown was only Cameron's second serious girlfriend.

According to Cameron, his previous relationship lasted for one and a half years and ended when his girlfriend broke up with him shortly after the aspiring football pro was cut from playing for the Baltimore Ravens. However, Cameron doesn't blame his ex for her decision. "When I got cut from the Ravens, that kind of put me in my darkest hole," Cameron revealed to Viall. He went on, "I saw a lot this season with Hannah, so many people were taking from her and not giving it back to her. And I felt like ... I was taking so much from my ex, because she was trying to give so much to pull me out of that hole."

Cameron admitted to Viall that he wasn't "as good to [his ex] as he could've been." He added, "That was a big lesson for me."

Tyler Cameron will "always love" Hannah Brown

While Tyler Cameron and Hannah Brown's future together, should they choose to give their relationship another try, remains unknown, one thing is crystal clear: Cameron's admiration of Brown hasn't faltered following their emotional split in Greece. Speaking to People, Cameron confirmed that he still thinks the world of Brown. "I will always love and care for that girl," Cameron told the publication. "And I will always be her biggest fan and biggest supporter."

In an interview on The Viall Files, host and Bachelor Nation alum Nick Viall asked the fan-favorite contestant about where his feelings for Brown stood following their reunion on the After the Final Rose special. "We went through a whole lot together," Cameron responded. "That was a crazy journey to share [and] experience with somebody. I value and cherish our relationship and our friendship, and it's something I don't want to just cut off cold turkey just because it didn't work out."

Hannah Brown asked Tyler Cameron on another one-on-one date

The second night of The Bachelorette: After the Final Rose Season 15 special was largely focused on Hannah Brown ending her engagement to fiancé Jed Wyatt. However, the last half of the live show finally saw Brown and Tyler Cameron reunite onstage — and the Bachelorette took advantage of the time she had with him to make quite the confession to Cameron. "Our relationship was real to me and special," Brown told Cameron. "Everything I said I meant and I felt. It didn't just go away. I still have feelings." Visibly nervous, Brown confessed, "You're an incredible guy and I'm a single girl," adding, "I thought maybe we could go for a drink and just hang out."

Cameron quickly responded, "I would love to. Just tell me when, and I'm there."

When host Chris Harrison asked Brown and Cameron if they were serious about giving their relationship another shot, Brown responded (via Refinery29), "I think we need to just be normal people ... Have a drink." Cameron echoed her sentiments, saying (via Life & Style), "[We'll] take it one step at a time, have a drink, and catch up."

Tyler Cameron's best friend isn't a Hannah Brown supporter

While the majority of Bachelor Nation was delighted to witness Hannah Brown and Tyler Cameron happily reunite and make plans for a date, one person was notably upset at the idea of a possible reconciliation between the two: Cameron's best friend and ABC Food Tours cofounder, Matt James. Moments after Cameron accepted Brown's drink proposal, James began posting a series of not-so-subtle callouts to his Instagram Stories (via Life & Style). "Hell nawllll," read one post. In another post, James wrote, "Mannn. She better be buying!"

If James is genuinely against a possible rekindling of Hannah Brown's relationship with Tyler C., he'll be disappointed to know that Cameron is seemingly looking forward to catching up with the Bachelorette — and he plans on picking up the tab.

Revealing on The Viall Files that he recently sold his first house as a contractor, Cameron said, "So, I got a little cash in my pocket, so I can afford a drink." When host Nick Viall joked that the former Bachelorette contestant would likely be getting plenty of drinks for free, Cameron responded, "Well, I'll have to buy Hannah a drink. So, I can afford that."

Some fans think Hannah Brown hurt Tyler Cameron's chances of becoming the next Bachelor

Everyone enjoys a good love story, and fans of Hannah Brown's relationship with Tyler Cameron are convinced that the spark between these two is still burning brightly. "Tyler is a superhero!" one Bachelorette viewer tweeted. "He knows what love is, [and] truly loves Hannah more than the chance of becoming the Bachelor."

However, some fans are worried that Cameron's possible reconciliation with Brown might hurt his chances of becoming the next Bachelor. One fan tweeted, "Hannah asked Tyler on a date last night, so now I feel like it's awkward to make him Bachelor, but we'll see." They continued, "He's definitely the obvious choice."

Speaking with Ben Higgins and Ashley Iaconetti on their Almost Famous podcast, Cameron revealed that he actually isn't too worried about losing out on the Bachelor gig. "I haven't really put too much thought into being the Bachelor," said Cameron, adding, "I'm just taking it day by day and seeing what happens. [Hannah and I will] have our drink and see where it goes." He continued, "If that's what deters me from being the Bachelor, then it's not meant to be. Whatever happens, happens."

Does Hannah Brown want to see Tyler Cameron as the next Bachelor?

Hannah Brown's Bachelorette season certainly introduced a bevy of eligible men from whom to choose to be the next Bachelor, including Mike Johnson, Peter Weber, and, of course, Tyler Cameron. Considering Brown hasn't been shy about her feelings for Cameron following the After the Final Rose special, it's safe to say that the Bachelorette would rather see Johnson or Weber get the gig. However, Brown is prepared to support Cameron in whatever path he chooses.

When asked how she'd feel if Cameron accepted the Bachelor role, Brown told Entertainment Tonight, "I think it would be a little hard to see him as the Bachelor because there's still feelings there, but I would support him in his happiness."

Interestingly enough, Cameron seemed to express similar feelings about the possibility of Brown being Bachelorette a second time. When Nick Viall mentioned on The Viall Files that he'd love to see another Bachelorette season with Brown at the helm, Cameron declined to comment. Silence speaks louder than words, and Cameron's silence seems to scream that he doesn't exactly love the idea of Brown dating yet another group of men.

Does Tyler Cameron feel like Hannah Brown's backup?

While the majority of Bachelorette fans were thrilled to see Hannah Brown take the first step in possibly rekindling her relationship with Tyler Cameron by asking him out for a drink, some viewers felt that Brown was treating Cameron as a backup plan. "Hannah DOES NOT deserve Tyler C.," one fan tweeted. "She does not get to choose someone else, get her heart broken, and then go back to him."

However, the Jupiter, Fla. native doesn't seem to feel slighted by the Bachelorette. In an interview on the Almost Famous podcast, host Ashley Iaconetti asked Cameron if he felt like a "backup plan or a fallback." Cameron responded, "No. I mean, if anything, I still want to be in contact with Hannah. Even if she was still with Jed, I was still going to be their biggest supporter, their biggest fan ... Now that they're not together, I still want to grab a drink with her and see what happens."

He continued, "If nothing happens in the relationship, at least [it's] a friendship I'll always cherish and have and be thankful for."

Tyler Cameron said Hannah Brown made him a better man

The day after fans witnessed his adorably nervous reunion with Hannah Brown during the After the Final Rose special, Tyler Cameron took to Instagram to post an open letter to the woman he fell in love with during his Bachelorette journey. "I am so grateful for all the experiences that we shared together," Cameron wrote. "You taught me so much about myself and pushed me to be a better man." Cameron continued, "As one chapter closes, another one begins. The world is yours girl! Excited to see what you do with it. Looking forward to that drink. Forever your biggest fan."

Brown responded with a sweet note of her own, writing, "I'm cheesin' hard. I'm really thankful for your love and support. You're the best, and I'm glad America thinks so too." Along with a clinking beer mugs emoji, Brown signed off by writing, "And ... see ya soon! Cheers."

Hannah Brown knows all about the Gigi Hadid and Tyler Cameron rumors

On July 22, 2019, fans noticed that world-renowned supermodel Gigi Hadid had followed Tyler Cameron on Instagram. Only minutes later, the popular Bachelorette contestant returned the follow — sending fans of Cameron's relationship with Bachelorette Hannah Brown into a frenzy.

Like the rest of Bachelor Nation, Brown is well aware of the rumors surrounding Cameron and Hadid's interaction on social media. In an interview with Extra, Brown was asked if she felt "some competition" now that the supermodel has seemingly taken notice of Cameron. "It's up to Tyler. I mean, we'll see," Brown responded, jokingly flipping her hair while laughing. She continued, "I don't know Gigi. She's probably great, too, so ... I mean, he's a catch! There's a lot of people that [probably] like to look at him and want to hang out with him. Trust me, I get it. I want to hang out with him, too!"

Fortunately, it doesn't seem like Brown has anything to worry about. In an interview on the Almost Famous podcast, Cameron confirmed that he and Hadid do follow each other, but revealed that no messages had been exchanged.

Jed Wyatt "had a feeling" about Hannah Brown and Tyler Cameron

Jed Wyatt's engagement to Hannah Brown came to a screeching halt when allegations that he was in relationship while on the show began to surface. Wyatt was given a chance to explain his side of the story during the second night of Brown's two-part season finale, apologizing for his actions and confessing that he was still in love with Brown. Still, the Bachelorette stood her ground, revealing that she no longer had feelings for her former fiancé. Once Wyatt left the stage, Harrison welcomed runner-up Tyler Cameron to join Brown in the hot seat, which resulted in the two making plans for a date.

In an interview on Good Morning America, Michael Strahan asked Wyatt how he felt about Brown asking Cameron out for a drink. "I had a feeling something was up, but I couldn't really put a finger on it when I was there that day," Wyatt responded. He continued, "You know, her happiness is my best interest. I want her to be happy. Tyler's one of my friends; he's a great guy. And if that's what's supposed to be, then I support that."

Tyler Cameron and Hannah Brown reportedly had a date night at her LA apartment

When Hannah Brown made an attempt to possibly rekindle her romance with fan-favorite Tyler Cameron by asking him out for a drink during the live After the Final Rose special, fans were understandably elated. However, the Bachelorette took to Instagram to make it clear that she wanted her private time with Cameron to be exactly that — private.

Along with a photo from one of Cameron and Brown's horseback riding dates, the Bachelorette wrote, in part, "Yes, the drink is happening. No, you're not invited." She added, "[Tyler's] a really good man, and I'm going to be his biggest fan in whatever makes him the happiest."

However, according to Us Weekly, Cameron and Brown reportedly wasted no time in making that date a reality. On Friday, August 2, 2019, the publication revealed that, according to a source, the two reality stars spent the previous evening together at Brown's new Los Angeles area apartment. No word yet on how it went, but we're betting Cameron and Brown were just happy to have a one-on-one date away from the cameras.

Tyler Cameron wasn't bothered by Hannah Brown's windmill comments

Even the most casual Bachelorette viewers are likely well aware of Hannah Brown's iconic clapback to contestant Luke Parker after he seemingly shamed her for engaging in premarital sex with other contestants. "From obviously how you feel, me f***ing in a windmill, you probably want to leave," Brown told Parker, breaking up with him during their Fantasy Suite date. In an on-camera confessional, Brown elaborated even more, saying, "And guess what? We did it a second time."

During the first night of the After the Final Rose special, Brown confessed that she and contestant Peter Weber had actually done the deed in the windmill not just twice, but four times. The Bachelorette's off-the-cuff confession received a standing ovation from Weber's own parents — but how did Tyler Cameron feel about the revelation?

"I had no problem with that," Cameron revealed on the Almost Famous podcast to hosts Ashley Iaconetti and Ben Higgins. "She's powerful. She's empowering women to feel free to speak about their sex [lives]. I think that's important." Cameron continued, "I'm no one to judge her because I have a past, too."
