The Hallmark Movies Carlos And Alexa PenaVega Have Appeared In Together

It's always nice to see when on-screen love stories are true in real life, like the case of Big Time Rush member Carlos PenaVega and "Spy Kids" star Alexa PenaVega. The couple made their joint on-screen debut in 2013 in an episode of Big Time Rush, where Alexa appears as guest star and love interest of Carlos' character. Both devoted Christians, they met at a bible study in Los Angeles right after Alexa's divorce from film producer Sean Covel in 2012. "We started our entire relationship grounded in our faith," Carlos told People.

In 2014, the duo said "I do" in a dream destination wedding in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, per Us Magazine. Since then, the VegaPenas have starred on multiple productions including multiple Hallmark movies and Season 21 of "Dancing with the Stars," where they competed against each other. This has been a deliberate choice by the couple who like to spend time together with their three children: Ocean King, Rio Rey and Kingston James. "Getting to work together enables us to bring the family everywhere," Carlos told People.

The couple has become a Hallmark staple

Carlos and Alexa PenaVega made their Hallmark debut in 2017 as part of "Enchanted Christmas," where they play ex-lovers who connect over their passion for dance. "Working with my real-life husband does not feel like work. We're so goofy and I absolutely love Carlos," Alexa told Hallmark about her experience working in this film. "Sometimes, I'm like 'guys, I'm so sorry, we're being so unprofessional' because I'm just giggling so much."

The couple soon became a beloved Hallmark staple, starring in "Love at Sea," the "Picture Perfect Mysteries" franchise and "Love in the Limelight." The latter movie really speaks to the actors' personal lives, as Carlos' character, Nick, is a former boy band singer who is preparing for a comeback concert, via Hallmark. It seems that will see even more of the PenaVegas in Hallmark, as they recently closed a multi-picture deal with the media company. "Hallmark has become a second home for our family. Over the last four years they have given us opportunities to grow as actors and producers all while raising our children, even if it means having the family on set!," the couple said according to Deadline.
