In a survey conducted by CivicScience, of the 1,986 U.S. residents asked to choose between the two companies, Ulta came out on top as the favorite beauty store for shoppers aged 13 and older. Now, Ulta will surely garner even more customers this year as they launch their 2023 free birthday gift.
While Sephora has four birthday items to choose from, Ulta has switched up the game by offering a different product each month (via Nubelease). If you are an Ultimate Rewards member, make sure you swing by to pick up the gift that is offered during your birth month.
For January birthdays, Ulta offered a travel-sized face mask from Dermalogica. If you're celebrating in February, the store is offering Lancôme Lash Idôle Lash-Lifting & Volumizing Mascara in a deluxe sample size. The product has rave reviews for avoiding smudging and flaking. This mascara retails for $14, but February babies will land it for free.
