The show is centered around a multi-generational family
The Hallmark Channel has branched out from creating popular TV movies and has added scripted series to its arsenal of content. Now, the network has debuted a series called "Ride," and some of the lead actors may look familiar.
The plot of the show is centered around the McMurray family and the dynamics between the multiple generations, who are working and living on a beloved ranch that has long been in their lineage. Sadly, the family has lost an integral member, and now, they are all going on a journey to find themselves, work together, and keep the ranch moving. Of course, there are many twists and turns here, plus a plethora of secrets that become uncovered, all of which are trying to pull the family apart. But you'll likely recall where you have seen the actors in this TV show before.
Ride features a long list of famous cast members
"Ride" is one of The Hallmark Channel's latest original series, but the cast is filled with actors we've seen in some of our other favorite shows. The role of Missy McMurray, the woman who married into the family and is trying to find her way in the complicated dynamic, is portrayed by Tiera Skovbye, the Canadian actress who played Betty's sister, Polly Cooper, in "Riverdale." Her husband, Austin McMurray, is portrayed by Marcus Rosner, who has been in a long list of Hallmark movies from "Love on Harbor Island" and "Christmas With a Crown."
Cash McMurray, the brother of Austin, is played by Beau Mirchoff, who has been in a variety of projects such as the popular MTV show, "Awkward," and a few Hallmark movies, as well. Finally, Gus, who is not a member of the McMurray family but plays an interesting role in their lives, is portrayed by Tyler Jacob Moore, who has landed roles in "Shameless" and "Once Upon a Time."
While the show may be new, the cast is filled with experienced actors, and is sure to be a hit.
