Bill Spencer's Litany Of Crimes On The Bold And The Beautiful

"Dollar" Bill Spencer Jr. (Don Diamont) was instrumental in helping Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) take down super-criminal Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) — effectively putting an end to her reign of terror on "The Bold and the Beautiful." While many of Sheila's crimes were truly heinous, Bill is not without his own lists of misdeeds, most of which pale in comparison but are worth noting nonetheless. He's not deranged like Sheila, but Bill does share some of the same qualities in that if he wants something, he'll stop at nothing to get it.

Likewise, Bill similarly doesn't fear the authorities especially since he's got plenty of people in government and law enforcement in his back pocket. Bill first arrived in Los Angeles in 2009, originally poised to take over as co-CEO of Spencer Publications with his sister, Karen Spencer (Joanna Johnson), after their father died and left the company to the duo. As he tried to grow the business, Bill made the bank foreclose on fashion company Forrester Creations, because before he died, Bill Spencer Sr. (Jim Storm) wanted to see it go down in flames.

However, Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) used her feminine wiles to seduce Bill and stole his wife's wedding ring, using it as blackmail to get her family's company back. Bill had also discovered that Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton), an intern at his company, was his son. He didn't like that Liam and Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) were dating, and tried breaking them up.

Bill interfered in Liam's love life

During a party, Liam smacked his head after drinking too much, and he woke up to find himself in bed with troublemaker Amber Moore (Adrienne Frantz), who later claimed she was pregnant as a result. Bill wasn't happy about it, so he tried to bribe her with $500,000, but Amber wouldn't go for it. So he allowed Amber to stay at a house built into the side of a cliff. Bill gambled that she would plummet from a defective balcony, but Amber instead hit her head on a tree branch and was saved from falling off of the cliff by Steffy.

His then-wife Katie Logan (Heather Tom) subsequently learned what Bill had done and forced him to get some therapy. Bill apparently didn't learn his lesson, because while Liam was vacillating between Steffy and Hope, he intervened on his son's behalf. Steffy was then in an accident while riding an ATV, and Bill bribed a doctor to fake her MRI so that Liam would feel obligated to stay with her instead of Hope.

That scheme also failed and the truth eventually came out. To make matters worse, Bill continued trying to break them up including, most notably, when he had her father, Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan) released from jail by bribing the warden. Deacon attempted to stop the young couple's wedding in Italy, to no avail.

Bill's misdeeds gradually got worse

Deacon threatened to tell everyone what Bill had ordered him to do if the publishing magnate didn't give him a job. Bill counter-threatened Deacon's life just as Katie walked in on them fighting. The dramatic scene caused her to go into labor, and Katie almost died from her heart issues. When a jealous Ridge later tried to stop Bill and Brooke Logan's (Katherine Kelly Lang) wedding from happening, Bill arranged to have him tossed out of a helicopter over the ocean. And, when he burned down Spectra Fashions, nearly killing Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) and Liam in the process, Brooke left him.

Bill also covered up the fact that Liam accidentally hit Vinny Walker (Joe LoCicero) by destroying the evidence and both father and son ended up in jail (they were ultimately exonerated). Despite all of the terrible things that Bill has done over the years, he's not an out-and-out villain. Bill saved the life of Li Finnegan (Naomi Matsuda) and helped hide her son, John "Finn" Finnegan (Tanner Novlan), who was presumed dead.

Finn's mother shot him and Steffy, so Bill pretended to be in love with her and coaxed Sheila to confess to multiple murders. Among Bill's many loves and affairs over the years, Katie still holds a special place in his heart and he's even tried to woo her back. Whether or not Bill has redeemed himself or returned to his old ways remains to be seen.
