Where You've Seen Beau Mirchoff Before His Role On Hallmark's Newest Series, Ride

The season finale of Hallmark's new show "Ride" airs Sunday, May 28, 2023. Actor Beau Mirchoff plays the character of Cash McMurray in the show, the second oldest in the McMurray family. Cash returns to the McMurray family ranch after his time in the Marine Corps, and he steps up to become the professional bull rider of the family after the death of his older brother Austin. Cash needs to perform well enough in bull riding to earn a sponsorship, which would help the McMurray family's dire financial straits. Mirchoff stars in "Ride" alongside Nancy Travis, Tiera Skovbye, Jake Foy, Sara Garcia, and Tyler Jacob Moore.

But before the exciting days of bull riding, what was Mirchoff up to on screen? In the Hallmark sphere, he has starred in 2022's "Hidden Gems" as Jack, a scuba diver hired to find a missing ring in the oceans of Hawaii. Mirchoff starred alongside Hunter King in "Hidden Gems," and she even gave him a special nickname on set. He has inhabited many different roles over the course of his career, ranging from jocks to lawyers to scuba divers, and you'll probably recognize him from some of these shows.

Mirchoff's early career includes a starring role on Awkward

Beau Mirchoff began training as an actor at 13 years old. A few years later, he acted in "Scary Movie 4" and six episodes of "Heartland." At 20, Mirchoff moved from Victoria, British Columbia to Los Angeles, California to continue his acting training and auditioning. He had an arc in the sixth season of "Desperate Housewives" as Danny Bolen, a boy with a secret identity hiding with his family. He also guest starred on "CSI: Miami" and "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation."

Mirchoff had roles in movies such as "I Am Number Four" and "The Wizards Return: Alex vs. Alex." From 2011 to 2016, Mirchoff starred as Matty McKibben in MTV's "Awkward." He won the 2012 Teen Choice Award for Choice TV Breakout Performance – Male for his performance as Matty. Leading up to the awards, he even went as far as to post a song on YouTube to inspire people to "Vote for Beau" — in the video, he plays guitar and lip-syncs the lyrics, sung by someone just off camera.

Mirchoff is also known for his role on Good Trouble

More recently, Beau Mirchoff has been seen as the confident lawyer Jamie Hunter in "Good Trouble." He started playing Jamie in a few episodes of "The Fosters," before becoming a main character in its spin-off show. Jamie is the love interest for Maia Mitchell's character Callie, and the two characters have had an on-again, off-again romance. Mirchoff and Mitchell are no longer series regulars on "Good Trouble," since both of their characters left for Washington, D.C. in season four. However, they returned to season five as guest stars.

Mirchoff also played the character of Ford in 2019's "Now Apocalypse." Ford is a screenwriter and the best friend of protagonist Ulysses, who is played by former "Victorious" star Avan Jogia. The show chronicles the lives of Ulysses and his friends, all aspiring for some kind of fame, love, and/or notoriety — but Ulysses begins having nightmares that seem like bad omens for trouble to come.
