Will Peter Weber Be The Next Bachelor?

While the next Bachelor hasn't been officially announced yet, multiple sources are saying that it's going to Peter Weber, aka "Pilot Pete." Peter finished in the top three of Season 15 of The Bachelorette

"Fans love Mike [Johnson], but Peter has been the producers' front-runner all along," an anonymous source told Us Weekly. "They also looked into how viewers responded to this year's Bachelor in Paradise contestants."

The magazine claimed that other sources have also said that Peter is the top pick, and E! News reported their sources say the same thing. Perhaps most compelling, though, is a tweet Reality Steve made on August 25. "When the 'Bachelor' announcement is officially made (guessing next week or the following), it will be Peter Weber," he wrote. "Not too surprising. That's who I've said I thought it would be for the last month. This isn't isn't a guess, a prediction, or 'most likely.' It's him."

Reality Steve's real name is Steve Carbone, and he makes his living posting spoilers about The Bachelor and its spin-offs. In an interview Carbone gave to Reality Blurred, he said that "95 percent of the stuff I get is legit," so, while we should take his tweet with a grain of salt, there's a pretty good chance his source is accurate.

Peter was one of the favorites to win The Bachelorette. He drew controversy after his ex-girlfriend, Calee Lutes, claimed that Peter broke up with her to compete on The Bachelorette. Peter, however, claimed that he did not end the relationship to appear on the show, telling People that he broke up with his ex because she wasn't as serious about him as he was about her.

Peter quickly moved on, falling hard for Bachelorette Hannah Brown on the show. While it didn't work out, in the first part of the season 15 finale, which aired on July 29, Peter revealed that he still has feelings for Hannah. "A little piece of my heart will always love her," he said.
