The Truth About Jennifer Love Hewitt's Husband, Brian Hallisay

While everyone knows actress, artist, singer, and producer Jennifer Love Hewitt, not everyone is familiar with her husband Brian Hallisay. Hallisay is an actor, known for playing Will Davis in the CW series Privileged, Ben Hunter in Revenge, and Kyle Parks in the Lifetime series The Client List

While Hewitt is a household name thanks to shows like Party of Five and Ghost Whisperer, there isn't much info out there on her significant other. He doesn't even have an Instagram (that we know of). So who is Brian Hallisay, and how did he and Jennifer Love Hewitt meet?

Jennifer Love Hewitt and Brian Hallisay met shooting The Client List

The pair originally met as co-stars on the NBC series Love Bites (via Hello!). It was while working together again later on The Client List where they reconnected in March 2012. On the show, Hallisay played the ex-husband of Hewitt's character.

In June 2013, People confirmed that couple was engaged and expecting their first child together. They then married in a small, intimate wedding ceremony just a few days before Hewitt gave birth to their first child Autumn James. They welcomed their second bundle of joy, Atticus James, in 2015 (via Hello!).

Brian Hallisay attended Cornell University before pursuing acting

That's right — Hallisay is an Ivy League graduate. The actor graduated from Cornell University in 2000 where he studied economics and history, according to the Chicago Tribune. After graduation, he worked as an investment banker on Wall Street before deciding to pursue his childhood dream of becoming an actor.

"I was slaving away at that and I had a really good time with it, but it got to the point where I said, 'You know, I had always dreamed about seeing what acting was all about and television,'" he told Starrymag.com (via E! News). "So, I moved out to Los Angeles six years ago and gave it a shot."

He said in the same interview that initially, he had a difficult time adjusting to the trappings of the acting world. "To be honest, the hardest part of the entire job has been wearing the tennis outfits that they are putting me in," he admitted. "I'm getting over it and realizing that it is part of a world that I am not necessarily familiar with."

Brian Hallisay has appeared on some of your favorite TV shows

Hallisay got his start in the mid-2000s, appearing in a variety of shows and movies like Without A Trace and Bottoms Up, the latter of which he played Paris Hilton's boyfriend, according to E! News. After appearing in shows like CSI: NY and Bones as well as having roles in films like American Sniper, Hallisay's career has now come full circle with his recurring role where he (once again) plays Hewitt's ex-husband on the FOX show 9-1-1.

Hewitt has gone on record gushing about how much she loves working with Hallisay again, saying: "It was just lovely to be able to go to work together, for our kids to be able to see us go to work together... and it was fun to see him love [playing that part] so much and really have fun. I was really proud of him."

So if you're eyeing that cute guy at work, go for it. You never know, you could end up like soul mates Jennifer Love Hewitt and Brian Hallisay.
