What Captain Lee Really Thinks Of Ashton And Kate's Make Out Session On Below Deck

Below Deck's Captain Lee Rosbach is a no-nonsense kind of guy. Whether it is a passenger he believes to be acting irresponsibly or a cast member who doesn't like their job, Captain Lee doesn't hold back in his criticism.

It should come as no surprise then, that when Kate Chastain and Ashton Pienaar ended up kissing on the crew's night out on a recent episode of Below Deck, Captain Lee had something to say about it.

The makeout session seemed to have left a bad taste in the captain's mouth. "OMG there are some things you cannot unsee," Rosbach wrote on Twitter after an episode teaser aired. "Did Ashton really stick his tongue where I thought he did?"

Captain Lee was not impressed with Ashton Pienaar kissing Kate Chastain

Captain Lee opened up more about the incident in a blog post. "Ashton, you had a good week, right up till the end," wrote the Bravo star. "What in the world were you thinking?... What would then prompt you to have a couple of major lapses in judgement that way. I think you let your raging hormones get in the way of good thinking."

It seems most of Captain Lee's judgement was reserved for Pienaar, who ended up kissing Chastain after being encouraged to focus on her by Brian de Saint Pern. It was a selfish move for de Saint Pern, as he wanted to keep Pienaar away from Courtney Skippon so that he could flirt with her. "Brian, I thought that was a pretty smooth move deflecting Ashton's attention to Kate and away from Courtney, but I'm not so sure that Kate appreciated it," wrote the captain.

Kate Chastain didn't think much of the kiss, either

Kate Chastain wasn't too impressed with Pienaar putting the moves on her. She took to Twitter to blast her Below Deck co-star. She retweeted a photo of the awkward kiss, writing, "Did someone say beef tongue," a reference to one of the meals served to charter guests that week.

"Don't use my mouth as your receptacle for insecurity and jealousy," Chastain said on the show after the kiss went down. "This is why I have trust issues."

Captain Lee might not have approved of the kiss, but he did appreciate Chastain's quip. "Great line," he wrote. "I certainly didn't see that one coming. Bet you didn't either. At any rate I think you handled that well, and all in all had a great week."
