It's no secret that celebrities and notable figures in Hollywood — and even in the business world — have a ridiculous amount of money. When you look at the clothes they wear, the houses they live in, and the cars they drive it becomes painfully obvious that pretty much everyone in Hollywood has loads of cash. Because of that, most celebrity engagement rings tend to be a tad over the top and often come with a price tag that would make most people gasp. For instance, Jennifer Lopez's engagement ring from Alex Rodriguez cost an estimated $1.8 million, according to Vogue. 

For a lot of people, that's more money than they'll ever see in their lifetime. Even with Lopez's staggering net worth of $400 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth, that's a lot of money. Additionally, there are plenty of celebrities who have talent, fame, and riches and still choose to keep things simple when it comes to engagement rings. Sure, they can afford to be flashy, but that doesn't mean they want to be flashy. In fact, there are quite a few wealthy celebs with surprisingly cheap engagement rings, all of which are still perfectly tasteful. 

Everyone recognizes Courteney Cox from her iconic role as Monica Gellar on the hit show Friends. Cox has found a ton of success in Hollywood, even beyond Friends, as she went on to star in Cougar Town. And with all of her success, Cox, who has undergone a stunning transformation over the years, has also amassed an unbelievable net worth. While she might not be a Hollywood starlet, Priscilla Chan is certainly no stranger to all the advantages that money can afford. Chan, a doctor and philanthropist, is pretty noteworthy in her own right, but much of her net worth is due to the fact that she married the founder of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg. Per the magazine, Chan's ring features diamonds and rubies, which are expensive stones, but the altogether total cost of the ring is pretty small compared to the couples' huge net worths. Still, Chan and Zuckerberg seem happy, and that's what matters. 

Though it might be strange to imagine a time when Ryan Reynolds wasn't married to Blake Lively, constantly adoring his wife on social media, and being a father to three children — there was a time when Reynolds was engaged to someone else. In fact, Reynolds was engaged to fellow actor Scarlett Johansson in 2008. Now, Johansson has a net worth of $165 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth, so she's clearly not worried about how much things cost. 

Still, her 2008 rock from Reynolds wasn't exactly what you would expect a millionaire to have. According to Glamour, the ring was a simple, round-cut solitaire diamond on a twisted gold band. Lindsey Vonn might not be a Hollywood actress or a royal's wife or anything else quite as glamorous, but she is a hugely successful Olympic athlete. All that money aside, though, Vonn's engagement ring wasn't as flashy as it could have been. Vonn got engaged to her boyfriend, P.K.
