Below Deck's Captain Lee Reveals He Once Hooked Up With A Crew Member

Sure, Below Deck's Captain Lee Rosbach has been happily married to wife Mary Anne for over 40 years, with the couple making our hearts sing during her glorious season 5 appearance on the show, but they don't call him the Stud of the Sea for nothing. The reality star and proud yachtie revealed he once hooked up with a crew member, much like the gaggle of twentysomethings he's often tasked with managing on the hit Bravo show.

The revelation may come as a shock to those with a certain perception of Captain Lee as the strong, silent, and unflinchingly monogamous type, but if there's one person who won't be surprised to hear the long-buried story, it's Mary Anne herself.

They don't call Captain Lee the Stud of the Sea for nothing

Captain Lee made the revelation during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen (via Bravo's The Daily Dish). The reality star was asked by a nosy caller whether he'd ever hooked up with a crew member during one of his charters and, much to the surprise of basically everybody in existence, answered in the affirmative. "With a crew member, yes," admitted Captain Lee, looking a bit sheepish.

However, if you're reconsidering everything you thought you knew about the Below Deck stalwart, don't fret, as he quickly explained it was, in fact, Mary Anne herself he'd had an oceanic dalliance with. "She was my chief stew. And the only one," the Below Deck fan fave advised.

Captain Lee may only have eyes for his wife, but charter guests frequently hit on the Stud of the Sea, as Captain Lee's castmate Kate Chastain revealed.

Captain Lee doesn't think Below Deck hookups are the best idea

Captain Lee previously commented on hook-ups between crew-members, telling OK! Magazine, "I don't think it's a real good idea," after Abbi Murphy and Ashton Pienaar got together. He argued, "If things don't go well, talk about awkward!"

Spending all that time shacked up on yachts together brings out a certain element in his younger charges but as Captain Lee explained, again on WWHL (via Bravo's The Daily Dish), that all the time he spends apart from Mary Anne actually strengthens their relationship. "...the old adage 'absence makes the heart grow fonder' is true," he said.
