The real meaning of Audrey and Jeremy Roloff's new baby's name

The newest Roloff is finally here! Little People, Big World stars Jeremy and Audrey Roloff recently welcomed their newest bundle of joy, a son, into the world. He joins big sister Ember Jean Roloff, who is 2. He was born on January 8, 2020, his due date, and weighed 9.2 pounds and measured 21 inches, Audrey revealed in an Instagram post. ⁣

The couple first announced that they were expecting to add to their family in July. "Baby #2 is coming in January!!!" wrote Audrey in an Instagram post. "Ember is gonna be a big sister! We are so grateful and excited for this little blessing to join our family."

The couple have always planned on having a big family, so it's likely that there will be more little Roloffs on the way soon. "We do want to have more kids," Audrey told Us Weekly in April 2019. "We've always wanted to have a big family... We don't put a timeline or a number on it, but Lord willing, we definitely want to have more kids and we'll take them one at a time."

What does Bode James Roloff's name mean?

The couple didn't reveal their new baby's name until he was born. Along with the announcement of their son's birth, the couple said that his name is Bode James Roloff. But what does it mean?

According to Behind the Name, the name Bode comes from the Germanic element "bodo," which means "command" or " order." The name is quite a rare one, although the Roloffs may help bring it mainstream.

Bode's middle name, James, is much more well known. According to Behind the Name, James has ranked as one of the 10 most popular baby names since 2014. James is an English form of the Latin name Iacomus, which ultimately comes from the Hebrew name Ya'aqov. Another popular variation of this name is Jacob. The meaning of the name is uncertain, although it is described in the Old Testament as meaning "holder of the heel" or "supplanter." It may also be derived from a hypothetical name meaning "may God protect."

It turns out that Bode has another special meaning to Audrey. In Touch revealed that when a fan asked the LPBW star if the name was a nod to her own maiden name, Botti, she responded that is was.

Bode James makes his debut just a few weeks after his cousin, Lilah Ray, Zach and Tori Roloff's latest addition to the growing family.
