Chrissy Teigen And John Legend Live An Incredibly Lavish Life

Hollywood couple Chrissy Teigen and John Legend may deal with toddler tantrumscooking, and bath time like many of us, but they might as well live on another planet. As Hollywood royalty, supermodel Chrissy Teigen and EGOT winner John Legend live in a way the majority of us can only dream of.

With a combined estimated net worth of more than $70 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth, it's no wonder this #RelationshipGoals couple, along with their two adorable mini-mes Luna and Miles, take expensive trips and own multiple homes. Though things aren't always rosy — yes, even Teigen needs a break from her little humans sometimes — we quickly remember how luxe her life is when she posts a video on her Instagram account of her and her daughter Luna with their very own home glam squad. Of course, that's just one small aspect of the Tiegan-Legend lifestyle. Keep reading to find out the even more lavish aspects of their lives.

Chrissy Teigen and John Legend live in a stunning mansion

Chrissy Teigen and John Legend purchased a $5.1-million West Hollywood mansion in 2020, as reported by the Los Angeles Times. However, as of this writing, the couple are raising their two children in a lavish $14.1-million Beverly Hills pad formerly owned by pop star Rihanna. Coming in at a whopping 8,520 square feet and three stories, the Legendary family home boasts five bedrooms, eight bathrooms, plus a patio and swimming pool with mountain and ocean views. When Teigen and Legend purchased the Beverly Hills home in 2016, they reportedly brought in interior designer Don Stewart, who previously worked with Kanye West, to turn the house into a modern family home, Hello! magazine revealed.

Thanks to Teigen's regular Instagram posts — and Stewart's design genius — we're able to imagine ourselves cooking in the family's state-of-the art chef's kitchen, keeping warm by the lavish fireplace and lounging around the house looking like a model. Dreams are totally made of this! According to a Vanity Fair interview with the couplethe Legends are like any other family, choosing to spend a Sunday afternoon milling about at home, but then we remember they live in a literal mansion — and we don't. We're still waiting for our invitation.

Chrissy Teigen and John Legend own real estate in New York City

Chrissy Teigen and John Legend aren't confined to the west coast. The couple also owns two multimillion-dollar penthouses— one is worth a little over $9 million and the other is nearly $8 million — in the NoLIta area of Manhattan. No big deal! The penthouses are actually both located in the same 19th-century building called the Brewster Carriage House, an homage to its past life as a carriage manufacturer, Architectural Digest reported. The couple's properties take up the fifth and sixth floors, according to The Real Deal.

Luckily for the Legends, the historic Manhattan building was turned into a lavish residential building in 2005. "We tend to look for the opposite of what most people want," Legend told AD about how character supersedes luxury in this case. In the same interview, Teigen was quoted as saying she prefers the view of a brick wall "than a view of the Empire State Building." Both of their penthouses have access to the roof terrace, and their more than $9-million penthouse features "a gas fireplace, 13-foot ceilings, oversize windows and exposed brick," according to the New York Post

Chrissy Teigen and John Legend own a lavish piano that's perfect for at-home concerts

You can bet singer-songwriter John Legend has his own piano. Displayed like an art piece inside his Beverly Hills home, Legend's Yamaha grand piano isn't just decorative nor simply a reminder of all the awards he's won — the Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony — all of which sit on a shelf nearby, according to Vanity Fair. He does, of course, play the piano and even spends his downtime teaching his son Miles how to play songs like "My Favorite Things," according to a home video shared on Instagram by his wife Chrissy Teigen.

Legend's grand piano was also featured on Instagram Live (via YouTube). The singer-songwriter put on an at-home concert in March 2020, serenading his wife and fans with popular hits like "Conversations in the Dark" and "All of Me," the latter inspired by his wife, who, according to Page Six, admitted she, unlike us, doesn't cry anymore when she hears the love song inspired by their relationship.

Chrissy Teigen and John Legend pose for high-fashion magazine covers

Chrissy Teigen and John Legend's family photos aren't only reserved to the family room wall. They also make for glossy magazine covers sometimes. In 2019, the family of four landed on the cover of Vanity Fair with the headline "The First Family We Deserve!" In the cover-worthy photo, Legend and Teigen hold their look-alike children while wearing couture fashion. The duo's Beverly Hills home even served as the backdrop for the magazine spread.

Teigen admitted to Vanity Fair that she and Legend are like any other in-love couple despite their star power and glamorous photo shoots. "There are some famous couples I look at and I'm like, 'Ugh, we get it. Stop trying so hard, you're so lame.' I think people definitely think that about us... ."

This photogenic couple has also appeared together on the cover of You Magazine, and each on their own, with Legend gracing the cover of People as 2019's "Sexiest Man Alive" and Teigen appearing multiple times on Glamour.

Chrissy Teigen and John Legend make date night a lavish affair

Most couples do dinner and a movie on date night. But Chrissy Teigen and John Legend aren't like most couples. On Valentine's Day in 2020, for example, these two decided to forgo traditional for a lavish trip on a private jet, as reported by the Daily Mail. Using Instagram, Teigen documented their special date, which began in Beverly Hills and ended in Yountville, California, where the couple shared a caviar-filled dining experience at the French Laundry. Teigen wore a frilly white dress while her hubby sported a festive red two-piece suit, as seen on Instagram.

When this couple does also go on more traditional dinner and movie dates, they only do IPIC, according to Teigen's site. She praised the movie theater chain's lavish recliners with blankets and pillows and its full drink and food menu. "It started out as a 'date night' spot for John and I, but now it's become more of a family tradition since kid movies are all we watch at the moment," Teigen wrote. We can relate!

Chrissy Teigen and John Legend enjoy parties thrown by famous friends

If you're Chrissy Teigen or John Legend, you sometimes have A-list celebrities throwing you parties. Keeping up with the Kardashians star Kim Kardashian West threw her pal Teigen a baby shower for her firstborn Luna at West's Los Angeles pad in 2016, Entertainment Tonight reported. All the Kardashian sisters were there including mom Kris Jenner. The lavish party featured a two-tier cake, pink and white floral arrangements and a McDonald's breakfast buffet fit for a mom craving fast food

Teigen and Legend also throw each other lavish parties. For Legend's 40th birthday, the supermodel hosted a James Bond Casino Royale-themed party for her hubby, according to Harper's BazaarThe birthday boy sported an Armani tux while Teigen wore a gold Cristina Ottaviano gown. The lavish party included casino games, naturally, and a legendary photoshoot.

On Instagram, Legend posted a photo album of that night with the caption: "Saturday night, my amazing wife threw me the most incredible 40th birthday party I could imagine! So good to be surrounded by family and loved ones. I had the time of my life. I'm so grateful." He's a lucky guy!

Chrissy Teigen and John Legend take their kids on lavish vacations

Chrissy Teigen and John Legend's children have traveled more than a lot of us adults thanks to their famous parents. We're talking Disneyland to Italy. In 2019, the family of four vacationed in southern European country via yacht, reported E! News, which included a hot tub and chef-prepared goodies, all as they traveled through the Mediterranean Sea.

That same year, the family visited Disneyland to celebrate Luna's third birthday. Their daughter, who donned several Princess outfits throughout the trip, was treated like a true princess by her dad Legend, who was photographed pushing her stroller or carrying her on his shoulders.

Though these parents have the ability to take their kids on once-in-a-lifetime trips, well, more than once in a lifetime, they're still parents just trying to make their kids' birthdays as special as possible. During their magical trip, Legend posted a photo on Instagram of him, Luna and Teigen with the caption: "As far as she knows, her birthday is today. Don't tell her it's Sunday please. Daddy has to work on Sunday. Thank you."

Chrissy Teigen and John Legend have help from their house staff

These busy parents don't do it all on their own. Chrissy Teigen and John Legend have help around the house and with their kids. Chrissy Teigen, who is a pretty open book on social media, took to Twitter and asked her fans what they would like to know about what it's like to be a celebrity. One fan asked if the family had around-the-clock help to which Teigen replied yes. The supermodel shared that they have a "a house manager who works at the house all day to handle our lives and day to day business, packages, scheduling for household staff, etc." When it comes to deliveries or bills, Teigen said in another tweet that their business accountant "handles everything" and provides them with spending and income reports.

During a Vanity Fair interview, a house staff member reportedly brought the mom of two wine while a nanny put her son Miles down for an afternoon nap. "I hate pretending that we do it on our own," Teigen told the magazine. "We have daytime help, nighttime, weekend." Must be nice!

Chrissy Teigen and John Legend use a secret members-only airport terminal when flying

Like us, Chrissy Teigen and John Legend may deal with massive jet lag after a long flight. However, their overall airport experience is pretty stress-free. Teigen revealed on Twitter that she and her hubby, along with many other Hollywood celebrities, have the option of boarding their plane via a private, members-only terminal, therefore bypassing long TSA lines. "There is a terminal a mile from the airport that you pay [a] membership for. They do the same security privately and take you to the plane in a car," Teigen told a Twitter user who'd inquired about celebrity travel. There is a cost involved of course — and it's not cheap.

Though Teigen didn't mention a specific airport terminal, People speculated that she may have been hinting at LAX's The Private Suite, a paparazzi-free terminal for commercial travel. There, the annual membership fee runs over $4,000 and a one-way flight costs about an additional $3,000. Teigen and Legend also sometimes fly private, but hey, it's kind of refreshing to hear they travel commercial too, isn't it?

Chrissy Teigen and John Legend tied the knot in a lavish Italian wedding

Not unlike other celebrities, John Legend and Chrissy Teigen opted for a destination wedding. In 2013, the couple tied the knot at the lavish Villa d'Este overtop Italy's Lake Como. The pair reportedly fell in love at this romantic Italian destination — because how could you not? — and decided to have their wedding there, The Knot reported. Of course, they only had the best of the best working behind the scenes to ensure the wedding went off without a hitch; photographer Aarom Delesie documented the day while celebrity planner Lisa Vorce added a touch of Italy to the wedding.

And Teigen didn't have just one wedding dress, she had three — and all of them were Vera Wang, according to The Knot. "Each time I went for a fitting, I saw another awesome gown," the blushing bride told Martha Stewart Weddings. After the wedding, the couple bid farewell to their guests in a vintage Silver Cloud Rolls-Royce with a sign that read, in Italian, "Married today!"

Chrissy Teigen and John Legend know how to rock Hollywood red carpets

Mom and dad sure do clean up nice. When they're not at home with the kids or working on a project, the two are typically seen together rocking Hollywood red carpets. Whether they're attending the Grammys or the Golden Globes, Chrissy Teigen and John Legend know how to command attention, starting with their great fashion sense. During the 62nd Grammys in early 2020, Teigen could be seen in a bold, orange Yanina Couture gown complete with a stunning plunging neckline whereas Teigen's Grammy-winning hubby looked dapper in a gray Alexander McQueen suit as reported by E! News. Only the best for these celebrities.

The two also draw attention on the red carpet due to their silly humor and chemistry. During Vanity Fair's Oscars after-party in 2019, the two were posing for pictures together before Teigen teasingly pushed her hubby out of the shot so she could have the cameras all to herself, reported Insider. Later on Twitter, Teigen joked about the moment writing, "Honestly this is a very important carpet and I do not need interference."

Model Chrissy Teigen has a lavish skincare routine

Supermodel Chrissy Teigen can thank genetics and an $88 pack of facial peels for her glowing skin. The star revealed in an interview with Prevention that she prioritizes her skincare and one of her fave products is the Dr. Dennis Gross Ferulic + Retinol Wrinkle Recovery Peel found at Sephora. The spendy mask works by firming skin and reducing the look of wrinkles, according to the brand's site.

Teigen is also a fan of skincare and makeup brand La Mer. According to InStyle, the model is a brand spokeswoman and a longtime user. "My mother introduced me to it — she didn't even buy the actual La Mer pots, she'd get the samples in a plastic cup from the duty free in the airport or at the department stores, and she'd use those forever," Teigen told the publication. The supermodel shells out 170 clams for the La Mer moisturizer and is also a fan of the label's Renewal Oil, which retails for $245. "My skin is naturally dry, so I'm crazy about oil," she revealed.

John Legend has this lavishly boozy hobby

Chrissy Teigen and John Legend sure love their wine. While doing a virtual interview on The Ellen Degeneres Show, Teigen was drinking a special rosé, and when Ellen Degeneres asked if she could have some, Legend couldn't help but chime in to promote his LVE wine label. Legend is just one of the many celebrities who's gotten into the wine business. To create LVE, which stands for Legend Vineyard Exclusive, the singer collaborated with Raymond Vineyards in Napa Valley. "Wine has a kind of connection to luxury, and if you can make it in a price range that's available to a lot of people, they want to access it," Legend told The New York Times. A bottle of LVE wine costs anywhere between $25 and $85.

Though Legend doesn't own his own winery, he told Forbes that he's talked to his wife about potentially owning one someday. "It would be exciting to grow our own vines and get our fingers dirty," he said. Now that's lavish!

Chrissy Teigen and John Legend spare no expense when it comes to fashion

It's no secret Chrissy Teigen and John Legend make for a fashionable duo. Whether they're attending red carpets or out for formal dinners, these two are always turning heads with their costly fashion statements. In a tweet response to a fan, Teigen admitted she has to purchase every red carpet dress she wears since she's not "sample size" anymore thanks to her two kiddos. After wearing a dress, Teigen then sells it on resale site The RealReal, but instead of pocketing the money, she gives it to charity.

According to E! News, many stars, including Teigen, wear jaw-dropping expensive daytime looks. Just one outfit Teigen was spotted wearing — a Magda Butrym dress paired with a Valentino handbag — cost nearly $5,000. Fashion pays off for this couple, though. John Legend was awarded Hugo Boss' Most Stylish Man during the GQ Men Of The Year Awards in 2019. "How your clothes fit is key to looking good. Oh, and listening to your wife," he told the crowd. These two are incredibly adorbs!
