Now that My Big Fat Fabulous Life's Whitney Way Thore has parted ways with her former fiancé, Chase Severino, people are starting to wonder if sparks will fly between her and her pal, Buddy Bell. While the two have never officially dated, many fans are convinced that there's something more there. There's also the fact that they once kissed on an episode of My Big Fat Fabulous Life.
Could something happen now that Whitney is officially single again? We do know that Buddy has been there for her since the breakup, and that Whitney has been living with him since the split. "Luckily, Buddy has been with me for the last month," she recently told People. "I still haven't left the house due to coronavirus, so he grocery shops and cooks and it's been great not to be physically alone during this time since I'm not able to see my family and other friends."

Buddy and Whitney are so close that it caused some tension when the My Big Fat Fabulous Life star was still with Chase, as Chase was convinced that Buddy had feelings for Whitney. "One part of me gets why Chase would be jealous, but I wish that he would be less suspicious," said Whitney on the show.
Could romance one day brew between them? Whitney hasn't totally shut the door on the possibility, although she has admitted that she doesn't exactly get butterflies around her longtime best friend. "There really isn't a word for it, to be honest," she told Newsweek of what it's like to kiss Buddy. "When I kiss Buddy it's always weird. There's always a weirdness from being friends with him. But I think that sometimes people have a chemistry that's just there. I'm just gonna have to say, if I pick one word, I'm still gonna say weird."
For now, it looks like they're staying friends. Whitney is still recovering from her breakup, after all, which Buddy said has been "tough" for her. "But she's also the toughest woman I know and I'm excited about what the future will bring for her," he told Life & Style.
