Twitter Account Rates The Best Celebrity Zoom Rooms During The Pandemic

The COVID-19 pandemic has been strange, to say the least. We've had to adjust to a whole new normal, including wearing face masks, constantly washing our hands, working from home, and replacing in-person interaction with Zoom calls.

One of the silver linings of this new way of life is that we've been able to get a glimpse into some celebrity homes. One Twitter account, @ratemyskyperoom, is rating celeb rooms as they appear on Twitter calls, often with sassy commentary.

The account seems to have been specifically set up to entertain us all during quarantine, as it was created in April 2020. With more than 223,000 followers to date, the account has quickly garnered fans who are excited to glimpse into these celeb homes. Here are some of the best celeb rooms we've seen on Zoom so far.

The Obamas have a studious Zoom room

It will come as no surprise that Barack and Michelle Obama conduct Zoom calls from an elegantly appointed room. The room is lined with sleek, white bookshelves that are part functional, part decorative. The shelves aren't just filled with books but also feature flowers, dog figurines, and even a football. There's also a sconce built into the shelf, providing the perfect amount of lighting for a Zoom call.

The Obamas were given a 10/10 by @ratemyskyperoom.

Martha Stewart lives up to her reputation with her Zoom room

Martha Stewart is the queen of interior design, so of course her Zoom room is swoon-worthy. Stewart Zooms from her kitchen which is to die for with its cool gray shelves and an espresso machine against one wall.

Stewart was given a 10/10 by @ratemyskyperoom, although we think she should have gotten bonus points for having her fur babies in the room. Stewart's Chow Chow, Genghis Khan, and her French bulldog, Franny, were sequestered in the Zoom room during the call by a gate."Would the gate stop Ghengis Khan from invading?" asked @ratemyskyperoom.

Matt James' Zoom room is the ultimate Bachelor pad

Recently appointed Bachelor Matt James is living it up in his Bachelor pad — or at least he is in the one room we've been able to see on his Zoom calls. The swanky room boasts plenty of natural lighting thanks to its expansive windows and a classy chandelier. There's also a glimpse of a pool out back, so it's safe to say that the new Bachelor is pretty comfortable during quarantine.

"What took so long?" wrote @ratemyskyperoom in the caption of the Zoom room on Twitter. "This room is like a cool breeze on a hot day. Raising the camera would be our only suggestion. Thanks, @BachelorABC. 10/10."

Jake Gyllenhaal's Zoom room is far from glam

Not all of the rooms featured on @ratemyskyperoom are inspired. Some of them are downright drab. Hollywood heartthrob Jake Gyllenhaal was given a measly 1/10 for his poorly-lit Zoom room. It's hard to tell what color the walls are even painted because the room is so dim. Are they white? Are they green? Who knows? The room is also void of decoration, and no furniture is visible. Yikes.

"Hostage video with closet," wrote the account on Twitter.

Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg's Zoom room did not impress

Getting one of the few 0/10 scores handed out by @ratemyskyperoom are Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg and his wife, Priscilla Chan. To be fair, part of that rating seems to be backlash at Facebook and Zuckerberg because the account wrote "#DeleteFacebook" in the caption.

Still, there's no denying that Zuckerberg's Zoom room is just plain boring with its plain gray wall and lack of decor. At least it's well lit, although it looks like there's nothing to do in there other than browse social media.
