The Real Reason Luann De Lesseps Is Selling Her House

Luann de Lesseps' stunning property in upstate New York could be yours, if you've got a couple million dollars to spare, that is. The former countess is selling her residence in Port Ewen for an asking price of $1.15 million, according to a listing with Coldwell Banker Village Green Realty.

The mid-century home, which is a large 2,400 sq. ft. and laid out in a circular, open floor plan, has three bedrooms, one of which has its own private entrance, and four bathrooms and boasts "sweeping" panoramic river views. It's located just a few minutes away from Kingston, close to both Woodstock and Rhinebeck.

De Lesseps' decision to say goodbye to such a gorgeous property might seem rash in the current climate, but it's actually the ideal time for the incredibly busy Real Housewives of New York star to say goodbye.

Luann de Lesseps spends too-little time in the beloved home

As the reality star told People, she's sad to see the place go because it's so special for her. "I love spending time Upstate due to its privacy, beautiful lakes and hiking," de Lesseps gushed, advising that the picturesque property is ideal for taking a break from her demanding schedule. "It's one of the few places where I always felt I could unwind when I wasn't filming or out on the road with my cabaret tour," she admitted.

Speaking as though she was selling the property herself, the RHONY star also reiterated how stunning the river views are, acknowledging, "I will miss sitting on the deck and watching the ships sail by as they head down to the city." Still, the time is right, particularly considering de Lesseps has been spending most of her time in at her residence in the Hamptons, working on her upcoming skincare line, which she hopes to launch soon.

De Lesseps shouldn't have any issue selling the property, even without her own glorious reminiscing, as Realtor advises the residence is a star in its own right. Set on nearly an acre of land, it comes complete with its own private river dock and mooring for a boat, among many other amenities. It was also the site of some major RHONY drama, which gives it an extra edge.
