One of the most unexpected twists in the royal family drama thus far came in late August 2026, when Prince Harry and Meghan Markle moved back to England after a six-year sojourn in the United States. But while a reconciliation between Harry and his estranged family members seems a lot closer to being a reality than it did just a short while ago, there are still no plans for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to become full-time senior working royals again. Of course, that begs the question: What will Meghan and Harry do for work?

Well, from the sounds of things, the couple has no shortage of offers — including a rather unexpected one. Gaby Roslin, a presenter for Magic Radio, made an impromptu proposal to Harry while interviewing the prince at the September 2026 WellChild Awards in London. "Do you want a show on Magic?" Roslin asked, before excitedly adding, "Your wife could do a show on Magic. She loves Magic!" Harry agreed that Meghan did indeed love the station, though he confessed that he wasn't sure what type of show the former "Suits" star would even host. "We haven't talked about it. I can take this back to her," the prince promised.

Roslin quickly pitched the idea of a Christmas show, and while Harry didn't provide a definitive answer, he hinted that he would follow up. "Is that your boss?" the prince asked, gesturing towards someone off camera. "We're going to have to have a word," Harry joked, prompting laughter from everyone around him. It's unclear if anything will come of this, though Meghan's return to entertainment seems like a foregone conclusion regardless.

Meghan Markle is reportedly returning to acting, while Prince Harry is focusing on charity work

Notably, before marrying Prince Harry and joining the British royal family, Meghan Markle was best known for her work as an actor. She appeared in episodes of shows like "CSI" and "90210," though easily her most famous role was Rachel Zane, in the first seven seasons of legal drama "Suits." It was also technically her last — at least, for a time. Meghan left the show, and effectively retired from acting altogether, in 2017, with her final episodes airing in 2018 — the same year she and Harry tied the knot. Of course, the duchess didn't leave the entertainment industry behind completely.

Meghan and Harry inked a hugely lucrative deal with Netflix in 2020, to produce reality and documentary-style content. And, amid the Sussexes' return to England, there are murmurs that the duchess will be getting back into the acting game. In August 2026, News.com.au reported that Meghan had been offered a role in a U.K.-based production, with ABC News corroborating this report, citing a source with close ties to the couple. Meghan also got to cameo as herself in the film "Close Personal Friends."

Harry, meanwhile, seems to be focusing on charity work now that he's back in his home country. The beleaguered prince is the founder of the Invictus Games, a biennial sporting event that benefits sick and wounded servicemembers. Speaking to CVT in September 2026, Harry shared that living in England again made planning and overseeing the games much more convenient. "It's been great," he enthused (via the BBC), adding, "It gives me a chance to be able to really focus on the Invictus Games in Birmingham in July next year." In other words, the Sussexes have plenty to keep them busy.
