Why Cam Is Worried About Presenting At The ACMs

Cam is set to take the stage at the 55th Academy of Country Music Awards in Nashville, Tennessee as a presenter for an award. She will not be the only country singer taking the stage as a presenter over the course of the evening — other presenters include Darius Rucker, Lauren Alaina, Lily Aldridge, Bobby Bones, and Clint and Lisa Hartman Black (via Fox News). The show is set to be hosted by Keith Urban, and was moved from its original venue in Las Vegas due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

While Cam first said she was "surprisingly" not nervous at all when asked about how she was feeling about presenting, she did admit that she really was a bit apprehensive at the prospect of handing out the award for Single of the Year. What could have this curly-haired songstress a wee bit stressed before she goes on stage to read off the winner's name?

Cam has feelings about who might win the award

"I have a total favorite," she admitted. She goes on to wonder what would happen if she opens up the envelope and it isn't her pick, as it would completely be unprofessional to look disappointed before she reads off the winner. While it might not be something we notice at home, someone with a remote control and rewinding capabilities might be able to pick it out. "It's something called a micro-expression," she explained, "It's so small and they can like slow down, freeze-frame and they can find the true emotion."

Hopefully, if Cam's secret favorite to win Single of the Year doesn't get the nod, she can keep her expression chipper and proud so nobody will ever know that it wasn't quite who she had in mind before she opened the envelope — and we can't wait to find out who it is.
