The Untold Truth Of Darcey & Stacey

Darcey and Stacey Silva, reality TV's favorite twins, have finally gotten their own show. Darcey & Stacey gives us an inside look into the never-boring lives of the Silva sisters as they navigate life and love together. Unlike stars you had no idea were twins, these two are clearly related!

The fun-loving pair was discovered after Darcey Silva's turn on 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days. With her twin sister Stacey always by her side, the two became wildly popular, thanks to their tell-it-like-it-is attitude and over-the-top fashion sense. Even the president of TLC sang their praises, noting viewers' "obsession" with the twins who "live life out loud" (via TLC). It's now Stacey and Darcey's turn in the spotlight, as viewers get a glimpse into their lives at home with their children and parents — and in the bedroom, with their younger love interests.

Despite all of the drama that unfolds on screen, there's one thing the sisters can always rely on, and that's their love for each another. Here's the untold truth of the lovable duo that's captured our hearts, Darcey & Stacey.

Darcey and Stacey Silva's fame began when Darcey landed a spot on 90 Day Fiancé

Darcey Silva arrived on the television scene when she joined the season 1 cast of 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 DaysThe show chronicled Darcey's relationship with Jesse Meester, an Amsterdam native she met on an international dating app. In an interview with Lindsay Hoffman, Darcey explained that she'd already been speaking to Jesse for five months when she applied to be on the dating show. "I wrote in a letter and that's kind of how it started," she said. Next, the divorced mother of two traveled to meet the personal trainer, who is 18 years her junior, after chatting for two months. Fans will never forget the infamous scene where Darcey gets her heel stuck in the airport escalator on that trip!

Through Darcey, viewers also got to meet Darcey Silva's twin sister Stacey Silva, who was always there offering her twin much-needed dating advice. In an interview on the show, Stacey expressed her understandable apprehension regarding Darcey's long-distance relationship.

In 2019, the ladies went on to star in 90 Day Fiancé: Pillow Talk, where they weighed in on the 90 Day Fiancé cast's unions.

A decade ago, Darcey and Stacey Silva filmed a pilot that never made it to TV

In 2010, Darcey and Stacey Silva self-produced a reality show pilot called The Twin Life. The pair hired a camera crew to document their lives as they balanced their marriages with raising children, and worked to break into the entertainment industry. The trailer, promising "a double dose of drama," introduces the audience to Darcey and Stacey's husbands and young children, who all live under the same roof. There's also a scene where the hardworking pair meets with a casting agent, hoping to become the faces of beauty and fashion brands.

Darcey explained the production process on The Sarah Fraser Show. "That took about three to five months to film, [and] they edited it into that small little sizzle reel," she shared. Although the pilot never got picked up, the ladies look back on that experience fondly. "For us, it's a memory...Those were special times in our lives," Darcey added.

What Darcey and Stacey didn't know at the time was that a decade later, they would finally fulfill their dream and star in their own reality show.

Darcey and Stacey Silva got divorced on the same day

On the premiere of Darcey & Stacey, the twins, who were born seven minutes apart, explain how their lives have always been intertwined. "We got married around the same time, had kids around the same time, divorced the same time," Stacey Silva began. "Same day," Darcey Silva replied.

On The Twin Life, Darcey introduced us to her then-husband, up-and-coming rapper Frank Bollock. Stacey also explained how she met Serbian-born Goran Vasic, who did not speak English when they began dating. The pair met in Houston, while he was playing professional soccer. "It was kind of like a love-at-first-sight kind of thing," she said of her future husband.

Although both pairs ultimately divorced, there are no bad feelings between the former spouses, who successfully co-parent. "You know, we respect our exes because they're the fathers of our kids," Darcey told Fox News. And though their ex-husbands have yet to appear on the show, that could change down the road, since the men both have jobs close to their ex-wives' home. Frank works as a store manager in New Jersey and Goran runs a soccer academy in Connecticut.

Growing up, Darcey and Stacey Silva were bullied

Although Darcey and Stacey Silva exude a great deal of confidence, they weren't always so self-assured. Growing up, they moved around a lot due to their dad's job, and were teased relentlessly. In an interview with Lindsay Hoffman, Darcey explained they were always the new kids in school, and got made fun of for looking younger than girls their age.

On an episode of Darcey & Stacey, the girls revealed that they never fit in during their high school days. In fact, they were introverted, and wore glasses and curly hair. Calling themselves "underdogs," they explained, 'We weren't the pretty girls...they called us troll dolls."

Although they never kissed boys in high school, in college, the sisters came into their own. It was then that they began their stint as Hooters girls in New York. "We owned that at the time," Darcey reminisced. "We made good tips, signed little autographs." The girls are surely asked for their autographs more often now. On The Jenny McCarthy Show, Darcey spoke of her newfound fame. "I'm a small town girl and get recognized at the airport now."

Darcey and Stacey Silva's fashion line is inspired by their late brother

To honor their older brother Michael's memory, Darcey and Stacey Silva started the fashion line House of Eleven. According to his obituary, Michael passed away from cancer at the age of 27. Since he both entered and left this world on the 11th, the twins incorporated the number into the brand's name. In an interview with Build by Yahoo, Darcey discussed how their brother is still present in their lives. "We want to create that legacy in his honor," she revealed. "He's watching over us."

After the Silvas both divorced, they moved to Los Angeles to start House of Eleven, where they lived for eight years (via Fox News). During that time, they also got matching "11" tattoos to remember their brother. On Entertainment Tonight, Darcey said Michael inspires them to work hard for what they want. "We won't ever give up, because he didn't give up," she shared.

In true Silva style, House of Eleven sells clothing like camo jackets, bohemian maxi dresses, and fun accessories. Celebrities like Demi Lovato – who's undergone a stunning transformation — and Jessica Alba are known to be fans.

Darcey and Stacey Silva met their current sweethearts on Instagram

Both Darcey and Stacey Silva found happiness on social media, as they met their partners on Instagram. Darcey is in a relationship with Bulgarian model Georgi Rusev, who is over a decade her junior. "He's been a great support throughout, and understanding [of] my past and his past," she gushed to TV Insider

Stacey's love story also started on Instagram, where she met Florian Sukaj, an Albanian fitness model. After months of talking, Stacey flew out to meet him, and he proposed just ten days later. On Darcey & Stacey, Florian, who is 15 years younger than Stacey, travels to live with her in the States. And although the couple has intense chemistry, they also have their share of problems. "You'll see the issues that I go through...but I stay strong and I'm a strong woman," she continued.

When asked if they would ever pursue American men, Darcey told Entertainment Tonight that spending their childhood living in places like London, Japan, and Singapore undoubtedly influences their dating choices. "We tend to just gravitate, I guess, a little bit more towards men that are from a different culture," she explained.

Darcey and Stacey Silva live in the same home with their four children

According to CT Post, Darcey and Stacey's father bought them a home to live in together in Middletown, Connecticut. And, needless to say, there's never a dull moment in the Silva household.

Darcey's two teenage daughters, Aniko and Aspen Bollok, are no strangers to the cameras, as they were introduced to the world on 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days. They're both close to their mom, which is apparent on screen. The trio enjoy spending time together, taking part in activities like creating TikTok videos and indulging in self care. "You guys get to see them grow up and they're becoming beautiful young ladies," Darcey told TV Insider. "I'm very proud of them both."

As for Stacey's two sons, Mateo and Parker Vasic, they're not part of the show — at least for now. In an interview with The Sarah Fraser Show, Stacey teased that viewers may catch a glimpse of the teenage boys eventually. "Maybe one day, but they're private," she explained. "They're behind the scenes and they're a part of my life...they're rooting us on."

On Darcey & Stacey, Stacey Silva's fiancé sparked rumors of a cheating scandal

After Florian Sukaj was approved for his visa — and here's the truth about 90 Day Fiancé visas — he came to live with Stacey Silva. While they were apart, however, some incriminating photos emerged of Florian with another woman. On Darcey & Stacey, Darcey showed the unsettling images to her father. "There's a little part of me that believes Florian is using Stacey for the visa," Darcey revealed. Still, Florian denied the cheating allegations, and Stacey accepted his claims of innocence.

However, things got worse when Stacey came across a video of Florian in bed with that same woman, who Soap Dirt learned is Belgian model Shanti Zhora. "This video is making me feel like I have more unanswered questions," she lamented on an episode of Darcey & Stacey. But when she corners her fiancé for answers, Florian still refuses to admit any infidelity.

To protect her sister, Darcey took matters into her own hands and called Florian's alleged mistress. Their video chat is featured on the show, with Shanti explaining she met Florian on Instagram — and he made her believe that he was single.

Darcey and Stacey Silva have twintuition and feel each other's energy

On the premier episode of Darcey & Stacey, the girls dished on just how in sync they are; sometimes they buy the same exact thing at the same time, unbeknownst to one another! In an interview with Fox News, the ladies explained their spiritual connection. "As twins, we feel each other's energy," they revealed. "I guess that's the 'twin-tuition' in us in a sense." They went on to say that their bond is so strong that they can literally feel when the other is going through something difficult.

This intuition spills out into the pair's love lives, too. In fact, it was Stacey who predicted that Darcey's last two relationships would end in heartache. But at the end of the day, she knew her sister had to learn those difficult lessons on her own. "I voiced my concern many times and, you know, I really think Darcey had to experience that for herself," she continued.

Now, it's Darcey turn to look out for Stacey. On Darcey & Stacey, she does that by actively investigating the infidelity allegations that plague Stacey's relationship with Florian Sukaj.

As for Tom, Darcey discovered a photo of him with another woman, sparking outrage. In a televised coffee date, he revealed that he'd fallen in love with her, while still with Darcey. As Darcey prepared to leave, Tom asked, "Did you put weight on?" which made the breakup even crueler than it needed to be.

Stacey Silva tied the knot in quarantine without telling Darcey Silva

There was speculation that Stacey Silva and Florian Sukaj had split due to the cheating scandal that's plagued the couple. In an interview with Us Weekly, Stacey opened up about the drama that she dealt with during her engagement. "It's hard to talk about, but you know, it's a part of it," she said. "I'm just trying to focus on the moment."

In the end, however, the lovebirds didn't let the drama stop their wedding plans, and they tied the knot without telling anyone — including Darcey Silva. "We don't need people in our ears trying to say it's not the right time," Stacey explained on an episode of Darcey & Stacey. So using their new apartment as the wedding venue, Stacey and Florian went ahead with a private marriage ceremony. However, the officiant soon discovered that their marriage license was issued in the wrong county, so they had to drive to Middletown to correct it.

In the end, Stacey and Florian married right before midnight in front of Stacey's father house, with her family none the wiser. Perhaps we'll also see the couple in 90 Day Fiance: Self-Quarantined?

But due to the COVID-19 pandemic, he extended his trip, and he's featured prominently on Darcey & Stacy. On an episode of Darcey & Stacey, Michael fondly calls his daughters, "very complex." "When they were first born, they were both wanting attention at the same time," he recalled. Before making their television debut, Darcey and Stacey Silva dabbled in the music industry. For one, the songstresses provided background vocals for a song in the movie, White T, which was produced by their production company, Eleventh Entertainment. "When we moved to L.A. after our divorces, we started Eleventh Entertainment and we got into the movie business," Stacey told In Touch Weekly. "We produced a couple of films."

In 2018, the duo debuted their first single, titled "Lock Your Number," during Miami Swim Week. Darcey described it as a "fun party and dance song which has a very catchy and appealing memorable hook that everyone can relate to." The girls also released "Always in My Heart" in 2019, which is a tribute to their brother, Michael Silva.

With the success of their new reality show, the musically-inclined sisters may have put down their microphones for now. But with Darcey's burgeoning Tik Tok addiction, only time will tell if they pick them back up again.
