Olivia Wilde Has Harsh Words In Response To Ivanka Trump's Tweet

On Saturday, not long after it was revealed that President Trump was being treated for COVID-19 at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, MD, his daughter Ivanka sent out a tweet featuring a now-viral image of her father, seated unmasked at a desk, signing some papers (via Fox News). Ivanka captioned the photo, "Nothing can stop him from working for the American people. RELENTLESS!" The photo received mixed reactions, with Trump supporters cheering his dedication, and those of opposing political views criticizing him for putting the photographer at risk by not wearing a mask and for what they called a staged photo op — (some even pointed out it appeared the president was signing blank papers (via The Independent).

One fan tweeted, "No one will ever match President Trump get well soon I miss your tweets, I know I get the truth." While historian Alex von Tunzelmann tweeted "Not a huge surprise that these photos are staged — and I'm amused by those pointing out that if you zoom in he's just signing a blank sheet of paper — but it's genuinely appalling that he still won't wear a mask. I hope his vanity hasn't caused the photographer to be infected."

And among these very vocal naysayers was actress Olivia Wilde

Olivia Wilde's angry tweet at Ivanka Trump goes viral

Wilde didn't mince words (or withold expletives) in her enraged reaction to Ivanka's post. The star said, "Oh honey we know this was staged, you pathetic pile of burning b******t. Stop underestimating the public you pretend to serve." Yikes! As you might imagine, Wilde's bold statement has drawn quite a bit of attention, both from those who vehemently agree with her and those disgusted by her comments. One Twitter user replied, "Tell her, Queen!" and another outright thanked Wilde by saying, "Olivia, thank you for capturing the perfect words to express how utterly disgusted America is by fake princess nepotiti."

Meanwhile, from the other side of the aisle, people shot back at the actress, with one man tweeting, "This comment is rich coming from a D-list actress whose movie credits include a gem called Robot Chicken (On a dark and stormy night, a mad scientist finds a road-killed chicken, which he takes back to his laboratory to refashion into a cyborg.)" and another telling Olivia to "Keep Hollywood out of politics, Ms. Wilde" (via Twitter).
