Grandchildren Who Grew Up To Look Just Like Their Celeb Grandparents

When it comes to legendary celebrities like Charlie Chaplin, Bob Dylan, and Grace Kelly, many fans first think of their great films or memorable music. They may even forget that these people had their own families, welcoming children and grandchildren. Many celebrities do indeed end up having large families, and sometimes their descendants really hit the gene jackpot, growing up to look just like their superstar relative. Whether it be Ethan Peck, the grandson of Gregory Peck, or Apple Martin, Blythe Danner's granddaughter, some grandchildren stun fans by looking just like their famous grandmother or grandfather.

Though some of these famous look-a-like grandchildren like to stay out of the spotlight, choosing to lead a normal life away from cameras, others have followed their celebrity relatives into show business. Read on to find out if you recognize any of these celebrity grandchildren and see if you think they resemble their star grandparents!

Quinn Tivey is basically the male version of Elizabeth Taylor

Actress Elizabeth Taylor is a silver screen legend, but to Quinn Tivey, she was first and foremost his grandmother. "We would lay in bed together, watching movies, chatting — she would give me advice. Those are some of the ways I remember her most," Tivey told The Hollywood Reporter in 2019.

Tivey is the oldest son of Taylor's daughter Liza Todd (whom she had with producer Mike Todd) and artist Hap Tivey. With just one glance, it's clear Quinn Tivey strongly resembles his grandmother. With them both having dark hair, strong eyebrows, and fair skin, there's no doubt these two are related. The two even have the same eyes, though Quinn's color isn't quite as bold as Taylor's. While Quinn hasn't followed in his grandmother's footsteps to become an actor, he has done some work behind the camera as a producer and as an assistant. Plus, he honors Taylor's memory by supporting the Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation. It's clear Taylor would be proud if she could see her grandson today.

Tuki Brando looks a lot like his grandfather Marlon Brando

Marlon Brando, who starred in such classics as The Godfather, Apocalypse Now, and A Streetcar Named Desire, may not have been very close to his grandson, Tuki Brando. In fact, when Marlon died in 2004, he left Tuki out of his will completely (even though he included friends and fellow actors), reported Vogue Italia. While Tuki may not have inherited anything from the late actor's estate, he did inherit his grandfather's good looks. The two have the same dark eyes and dark eyebrows, the same strong nose, and even the same lips.

While Tuki hasn't followed his grandfather into acting, he has used his good looks to start a modeling career. In 2006, he was photographed by noteworthy fashion photographer Bruce Weber for the sixth volume of his All American series. Tuki then posed for the cover of the February 2007 L'Uomo Vogue and eventually became the face of Versace and TechnoMarine watches. Tuki may not have been close with Marlon and he may not have gone down the same career path, but it seems Marlon's look-a-like is doing pretty well!

James Thierree shows a strong resemblance to Charlie Chaplin

Charlie Chaplin is a true film legend and his memory lives on in his movies and in his grandson, James Thiérrée, who looks just like a young Chaplin. With the same long forehead and similar eyes, these two look very similar.

But it's not just looks that these two have in common. Thiérrée has followed in his grandfather's footsteps and gone into performing. Thiérrée focuses on circus performing (and even formed his own show) after his parents, Jean-Baptiste Thiérrée and Victoria Chaplin, sparked his interest in the art, reported The Guardian

While Thiérrée looks a lot like Chaplin, he doesn't want his fans to dwell on the fact that he's a descendant of the famous actor. He said in an interview with The Guardian, "What I'm really concerned about is that when people sit in the theatre for one of my shows they might have a little chat about [Chaplin] but then I want them to forget about the bloody thing — and just experience the magic of what is happening that night."

It's easy to see the family resemblance between Ethan Peck and Gregory Peck

Ethan Peck has created quite an acting career for himself on both the big and small screens. He's appeared in TV shows like Star Trek: Discovery and films such as The Sorcerer's Apprentice. And while Ethan has forged his own path, some classic film buffs may know him first as the grandson of film legend Gregory Peck.

Of course, it's easy to recognize him as a member of the Peck family. With Gregory's full lips and strong nose, Ethan has grown to look a lot like his grandfather. And while it seems like a big honor to get to share both Gregory's good looks and his love of acting, It seems Ethan hasn't yet grasped the importance of it. In a 2015 interview with GQ, he said, "Growing up, he was grandpa. He was old, you know? As silly as that sounds, I knew him as just this wonderful man who had a great humility about him — which I think is what he was known for, being this classic gentleman. It's still dawning on me just how incredibly iconic he is."

Jazmin Grace Grimaldi didn't even know Grace Kelly was her grandmother for some time

Grace Kelly was the leading lady of dramas like Rear Window and To Catch A Thief, but it seems her offspring created some drama of their own after her passing. Kelly left acting to marry Prince Rainier of Monaco in 1956, as noted by Town & Country, and one of their children Prince Albert II grew up to secretly have a child with an American tourist.

His daughter, Jazmin Grace Grimaldi (who has no royal title), grew up in California, reported Harper's Bazaar. She lived a private life out of the spotlight until the prince formally acknowledged Grimaldi as his child in 2006, when she was 14. Since then, the media has taken note of this young beauty, who bears an undeniable resemblance to her grandmother.

With Grimaldi's big eyes (though hers are brown, not blue like Kelly's) and high cheekbones, there's certainly a family resemblance. But Grimaldi is not just a pretty face. She's an operatically trained singer and is the founder of the Jazmin Fund, a philanthropic project that brings classroom and medical supplies to areas of Fiji. It seems Kelly's granddaughter is beautiful inside and out!

Pablo Dylan and Bob Dylan look surprisingly similar

With a big mop of hair, a long nose, and strong jawline, Bob Dylan has a look almost as memorable as his folk-rock music. So, it's interesting to see some of those familiar features on another young artist: Pablo Dylan.

In addition to being Bob Dylan's grandson, Pablo is also the son of Jesse Dylan, a director of films and music videos, and the nephew of former Wallflowers singer Jakob Dylan, reported GQ, so perhaps it's not surprising that Pablo found himself in the music industry, too. Once focused on hip-hop music, Pablo later made the transition to folk-rock. He even released a folk album, Letters from Columbia, in February 2020. This, of course, sparked comparisons between Pablo and Bob, but this young artist likes to focus on his music and not dwell on his famous family.

"Here's the thing — my lineage is just my lineage at this point," Pablo told Rolling Stone in 2019. "I'm not going to run from it. I love my grandfather as any grandson loves his grandfather. I'm incredibly proud of the work he's made. But I'm doing my own thing."

Viva Vadim looks like a young Jane Fonda

Hollywood royalty Jane Fonda has had a long, successful acting career. Her career took off in the 1960s when she stared in classic films like the adventure-comedy Barbarella and romantic comedies like Barefoot in the Park. And she continues to act, starring in films like Monster-in-Law and doing TV shows like Grace and Frankie. While most fans know Fonda first as an actress (and workout video tycoon), she's also a committed activist, as noted by Time. In the '70s, she supported the Black Panthers, rallied for a number of Native American causes, and was involved in the effort to end the war in Vietnam.

Although Fonda's granddaughter, Viva Vadim, hasn't followed her grandmother into acting, it seems she does share her love of activism. In November 2019, Fonda shared a photo of her granddaughter at a rally for climate change on Instagram. In the photo, it's clear that this grandmother-granddaughter duo share many of the same features. In fact, Vadium looks just like a young Fonda, with the same mouth, same flawless skin, and a similar nose.

Apple Martin looks so much like Blythe Danner

Not only was Apple Martin lucky enough to be born to two superstar parents like Iron Man alum Gwyneth Paltrow and Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, but she also scored by getting veteran actress Blythe Danner as a grandmother!

Danner is perhaps known best for her roles in films like Meet the Parents and The Last Kiss, but she's had a long and successful film and television career that reaches all the way back to the 1960s. Meanwhile, Danner's granddaughter (whose first middle name is Blythe in honor of her grandmother, reported Elle) doesn't seem to have inherited the acting gene. Unfortunately, Apple hasn't shown an interest in starring in movies like her mother or grandmother. In fact, she's remained out of the spotlight, appearing only in occasional photos and videos that her mom posts. However, it's clear she has gotten one thing from her relatives: her good looks. With blonde hair, big eyes, a sharp nose, and a kind smile, she's the spitting image of her mother and grandmother.

Dakota Johnson strongly resembles grandmother Tippi Hedren

Tippi Hendren is known best known for her leading roles in the Alfred Hitchcock classics, The Birds and Marnie. And while she had a rich film career, she also had a full family life, having daughter Melanie Griffith, who later had three children of her own, in 1957 (via Town & Country). Notably one of Hendren's grandchildren, Fifty Shades of Grey star Dakota Johnson, looks like her twin.

With the same big eyes and strong jawline, Dakota Johnson, who's had a stunning transformation, shares a lot of her grandmother's features, and luckily, it seems that these two get along famously. Back in October 2018, Johnson took Hendren along with her to the premiere of her film Suspiria, reported People. Johnson's mom, Griffith, even posted about the event on Instagram, sharing a photo of Dakota and Hendren posing hand-in-hand. While Johnson towered over her petite grandmother in the photo and though Hendren's gray hair is different from Johnson's flowing brunette locks, it's clear these two are related.

Billie Lourd has the looks and charm of grandmother Debbie Reynolds

Up-and-coming actress Billie Lourd, known best for her roles on Scream Queens and in the Star Wars franchise, comes from a long line of Hollywood royalty. Her a family tree is filled with big names like the stunning Carrie Fisher and singer Eddie Fisher, but it seems the family member Lourd most resembles is her grandmother, the late great Debbie Reynolds.

Reynolds, best known for her role in the legendary 1952 film Singin' in the Rain, and Lourd share the same big eyes and a similar smile. Of course, Lourd remembers her mother and grandmother fondly, posting about them both on her Instagram. In a post from Christmas 2019, she shared a sweet picture of herself as a baby with her mother and grandmother with a caption that read, "Sending my love to everyone who has lost someone they loved and is missing them a little extra today."

Arthur Donald looks just like a young Paul McCartney

Former Beatle Paul McCartney is a worldwide sensation. With hit solo songs like "Maybe I'm Amazed," "Band on the Run," and "Live and Let Die," as well as all the old Beatles songs, his music is unforgettable — and so is his look. With small eyes, a long face, and thin lips, his appearance is distinctive. Although, his looks may not be quite as unique as they once were, as his oldest grandson, Arthur Donald, could practically be the legendary singer's twin.

Arthur is the son of Mary McCartney and television producer Alistair Donald (via Evening Standard), and while Paul has eight grandchildren, it's clear that Arthur is the one who most resembles his grandfather. These two both have the same face shape, same eyes, and the same full head of dark hair, and they even appear to have the same nose. Of course, these two get along, and have even been spotted walking around London, enjoying each other's company (via Hollywood Pipeline).

Charlotte Ritchie has a lot of Richard Burton's features

Actress Charlotte Ritchie is best known for her role as Nurse Barbara Hereward in the hit show Call the Midwife, but she's noteworthy for another reason. This young starlet comes from a family of actors. She's the daughter of Kate Burton, who's had roles on Grey's Anatomy and Scandal. Plus, she's the granddaughter of film legend Richard Burton.

Richard was a Hollywood sensation, starring in films such as Cleopatra and Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? and though these two never met (with Burton dying in 1984 and Ritchie being born in 1989), they do have very similar looks. These two actors have the same nose and same chestnut hair, and even their eyes look similar. Of course, Ritchie also inherited some of her looks from her mother, Kate, as well, which would explain why her features are much softer than her grandfather's. Still, it's clear Ritchie and Burton are related. It seems that Ritchie inherited much more than her famous family's acting chops!

Princess Charlotte is the spitting image of Princess Diana

Princess Charlotte was born in May 2015, being presented to the world for the first time in a white knit cap in the now-iconic photo of her with her mother, Kate Middleton, and her father, Prince William, outside the Lindo Wing at St. Mary's Hospital, as noted by Town & Country. Since then, she's grown up stealing the hearts of the world with her adorable waves to the press and her funny faces, like sticking her tongue out at a crowd of onlookers.

But there's something else about the young princess' appearance, as she seems to bear a striking resemblance to her grandmother, the late Princess Diana Spencer. Diana, who married Prince Charles in 1981 (via Marie Claire), was known for her big eyes and shy smile. It seems Princess Charlotte inherited these features, looking just like her grandmother in childhood. The two have the same eyes, the same nose, and similar face shapes. While there are some differences (Charlotte has darker hair), it looks like the young princess will grow up to be just as beautiful as her grandmother.

Riley Keough looks just like her famous grandmother Priscilla Presley

Priscilla Presley, born Priscilla Beaulieu, met her future husband, Elvis Presley, when she was just 14 years old. Then, in May 1967, when Priscilla was 21, the two married (via Biography). Nine months later, their only child, Lisa Marie Presley, was born in February. Lisa Marie grew up to have her own children and one of them, Riley Keough (who's been in films like Mad Max: Fury Road and American Honey) bears a striking resemblance to her maternal grandmother.

With the same bright eyes, identical noses, long hair, and even the same smile, Keough looks just like a young Priscilla. Happily, these two look-a-likes seem to get along well, with an insider even telling Closer Weekly, "Priscilla loves following Riley's acting career, she's so proud of her." Priscilla — who has a film background herself, starring in The Naked Gun and its sequels — must be excited to see how far her mini-me's career will go!
