What You Should Know About The Bachelorette's Chasen Nick

Anyone who has watched Tayshia Adams' debut on The Bachelorette knows she doesn't mess around. So it should come as no surprise that the new addition to this season isn't afraid to confront a suitor who may not be on the show to find love. In a description for the November 17 episode, we learn, "An unlikely duo teams up against Chasen at the after-party, accusing him of being there for the wrong reasons" (via Hollywood Life). Yes, this is Chasen Nick we speak of — the uber-good-looking San Diego native who comes from the world of competitive swimming. The same Chasen who, according to his ABC bio, "After ending a two-year toxic relationship with his co-worker . . . says he is finally in the right headspace to find his future bride."

But according to Reality Steve, a fellow contestant for Tayshia's heart, Ed, calls out Chasen on the episode, accusing him of being a "fraud, phony, an actor." Funny, we thought he worked in IT. So is Chasen on The Bachelorette for the right reasons? Guess we'll have to wait to find out — in the meantime, there's more to this fitness buff than meets the eye.

Chasen Nick is a daredevil who admires his parents' long marriage

The chiseled 31-year-old once swam from San Francisco to Alcatraz in nothing but a pink Speedo. If that tidbit isn't enough information for you right there, consider that the self-described fitness enthusiast is also a model according to his Instagram. Meanwhile, per his bio, he claims he "hopes to one day have a long and happy marriage similar to that of his parents who have been together for 35 years." If you aren't saying "aww" yet, get this: Chasen is obsessed with goldendoodle puppies.

But, know this as well: The Californian's friends call him "Wolverine" because he heals quickly. From what? We aren't sure, but here's hoping it is not from Tayshia. After all, this show is about finding love, and if Chasen would rather promote himself, he is not only wasting The Bachelorette's time, he's wasting viewers' time as well. But we will choose to believe he's there for the right reasons — for now!
