Princess Eugenie Is Moving Into Meghan And Harry's Old Home

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry may have moved to Santa Barbara, Calif., but that doesn't mean that their home back in the U.K., Frogmore Cottage, is going to stand empty. The keys have been handed over to Harry's cousin, Princess Eugenie, and her husband, Jack Brooksbank.

While the news may make it seem like Harry and Meghan have given up their U.K. base, the couple have not given up all claim to the property. "Frogmore Cottage continues to be the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's residence in the U.K. and they are delighted to be able to open up their home to Princess Eugenie and Jack as they start their own family," a source told People. "

While the home's name may make it seem small and cozy, ITV noted that Frogmore Cottage previously consisted of five housing units and was renovated to be one large home, so there will be plenty of space for Meghan, Harry, and baby Archie when they stay there.

Princess Eugenie and Prince Harry have a strong relationship

Eugenie and Harry are reported to be quite close, so it makes sense that Harry would be comfortable sharing the spacious home with his cousin on his visits home.

"Eugenie had always been more than just a cousin to Harry," wrote Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand in Finding Freedom: Harry and Meghan and the Making of a Modern Royal Family (via People). "They were also the closest of friends. Out of all the Queen's grandchildren, Harry and Eugenie have one of the most natural connections. Like Harry, Eugenie is loyal, honest, and great fun. The two had many nights out together in London."

Eugenie also apparently gave Harry quite a lot of dating advice in his younger years. "Not only did he trust her implicitly, but friends say that she gives great advice and has always been 'beyond wise' for her years," wrote Scobie and Durand.
