Chelsea Houska's Replacement On Teen Mom 2 Will Be Familiar To Fans

MTV's hit show, Teen Mom 2, brought about some the network's biggest stars, like Jenelle Evans and Farrah Abraham. Now, the franchise is losing one of its regulars and another fan favorite, Chelsea Houska, who joined the series in 2011 after appearing on 16 and Pregnant in 2009, where she carried and gave birth to daughter Aubree she shared with ex-boyfriend Adam Lind (via People).

Houska and her husband, Cole DeBoer, announced on Nov. 10, 2020, that they were leaving the franchise in a lengthy Instagram post. "MTV's Teen Mom 2 has been a big part of my life for almost 11 years. After much thought and discussion with my family and friends, Cole and I have decided that this season will be our last," Chelsea said.

Although Houska's departure will sadden some fans, the series has announced its new addition to the Teen Mom 2 family, and she's apparently going to be a solid fit. Keep reading to find out more about Houska's promising replacement.

Ashley Jones joins the cast of Teen Mom 2 with style and a little bit of shade

Ashley Jones, from MTV's Teen Mom: Young + Pregnant is set to join the cast of Teen Mom 2, reported People, after making her debut with the network in 2018.

During her time on Young + Pregnant, Jones documented the birth of her now-3-year-old daughter, Holly, whom she shares with on-and-off partner Bariki Smith. Although their relationship was somewhat tumultuous, Bariki announced in later November 2020 in an adorable Instagram video that he and Ashley were engaged. "I'm marrying her y'all," he wrote

Jones also announced her new gig in an Instagram selfie on Dec. 5, 2020, with perhaps a little bit of shade. "About to make teen mom 2 watchable again." Jones seems to not be shy of the reality TV game, so we'll have to wait and see what kind of drama she brings to the show — and how long-running stars Leah Messer, Kailyn Lowry, Briana DeJesus, and Jade Cline feel about her comments.
