The Truth About Timothée Chalamet's Relationship With Lily-Rose Depp

Timothée Chalamet became a household name with his starring role in 2017's Call Me Be Your Name alongside Armie Hammer and Lady Bird, but as much as we love him, we don't know too much about the actor's romantic life. He's played his cards close to his chest, and while he was recently romantically linked to Lily-Rose Depp, the two have since split (via Elle).

The two met on the set of the Netflix film The King in 2018, with Chalamet playing Henry V and Depp playing Princess Catherine, and pics of the pair walking around and kissing in New York City in October 2018 took the rumors of a relationship into high gear (via Harper's Bazaar). Per US Weekly, a trip to Paris that December where they were spotted arm in arm seems to have confirmed the rumors.

But at the January 2019 Golden Globes, the actor took his mom as his date, and when he was asked on the red carpet by Access Hollywood if he planned to meet up with Depp later that night, he chuckled and said, "I'm here with mom."

Yacht paparazzi pics left Timothée Chalamet embarrassed

Fast-forward to the Venice Film Festival premiere for The King in September 2019, and the thespian pair walked the red carpet together (via Elite Daily). That may not be too much of a relationship confirmation since they did both star in the movie, but shortly after that, paparazzi snapped pics of the two on a yacht spending time together and, most tellingly, spending much of that time making out.

Chalamet described his embarrassment about the pics to GQ, "I went to bed that night thinking that was one of the best days of my life. I was on this boat all day with someone I really loved, and closing my eyes, I was like, indisputably, 'That was great'. And then waking up to all these pictures, and feeling embarrassed, and looking like a real nob? All pale? And then people are like: This is a P.R. stunt. A P.R. stunt?! Do you think I'd want to look like that in front of all of you?!"

According to US Weekly, those pictures were one of the last times the actors were pictured together, and the two seem to have called it quits.
