Inside FKA Twigs' Relationship With Matty Healy

Singer, dancer, and actress FKA Twigs has been all over the news as of late due to drama surrounding her previous relationship with actor Shia LeBeouf. Twigs is suing her ex for sexual battery, assault, and infliction of emotional distress, calling him "dangerous" and citing several abusive and harmful situations. According to Variety, she states in her lawsuit: "Shia LaBeouf hurts women. He uses them. He abuses them, both physically and mentally. He is dangerous." The suit continues, "For too long, LaBeouf has sought to excuse his reprehensible actions as the eccentricities of a free-thinking 'artist.' Even though his history of violent behavior was well-documented, many in the media have treated LaBeouf as a harmless figure of fun ... There is nothing funny about the exploitation of and battering of women."

In response, LeBeouf seems to have no interest in disputing any of the claims. He told the The New York Times that he is aware of his history of abuse and has no excuse for them. During this difficult time, Twigs has had her current boyfriend by her side, The 1975's Matty Healy. He recently hyped her up on Instagram, posting a photo of her smiling with a caption calling her a "legend," "icon," and "loml [love of my life]." He accompanied his loving post with a series of emojis (via Page Six).

FKA Twigs and Matty Healy have kept their relationship out of the spotlight

The couple was linked in January 2020 when a source allegedly saw the two holding hands in a train station in England (via Daily Mail). Nearly a month later, the couple became Instagram official, with Healy posting a photo of the two cuddled up together at the NME Awards, at which they both performed. The caption to the photo read, "Thank you NME for the awards and the chaos (via Instagram).

Later that month, the couple was spotted at RuPaul's DragCon UK 2020, with a source saying, "Matt Healy and FKA Twigs were smiling and holding hands while having a great time walking around and watching the shows together," according to E! News. "It definitely appeared like the two are more than just friends. The two kept a pretty low profile, attending the event in support of Matt's mom Denise Welch, who was the emcee for one of the events."

The couple has remained relatively out of the public eye this year, which makes us even happier to see Healy giving Twigs so much love and support during this difficult time for her. We'll be keeping an eye out to see what becomes of the musical duo.
