Riverdale's Casey Cott Reveals Big News About His Love Life

Little is known about Riverdale's highly-anticipated fifth season, which involves a hugely significant time jump that should place its colorful cast in some interesting circumstances. One thing that is clear, however, is fan favorite character Kevin is super-buff in the future. Showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa shared a behind-the-scenes shot of actor Casey Cott clad in just a towel, while getting misted up with fake sweat in preparation for a scene (via Instagram). "Well, here's one spoiler for what happened during #Riverdale's time-jump: Kevin Keller got hella swole," he wrote alongside the shot.

Kevin has long been one of the most popular characters on the hit show, in spite of the fact he isn't part of the central foursome. KJ Apa, who plays Archie, even revealed that Kevin is his personal favorite in an Instagram Story, as per Screen Rant. Whether Kevin will be front and center when Riverdale returns remains to be seen, but in the actor's personal life, he's definitely the star of the show as Cott just confirmed a major development.

Casey Cott is engaged to his long-time girlfriend

The actor took to Instagram this past weekend to share that he's engaged. Cott captioned the shot of the two of them beaming with a string of ring emojis. His partner, whose name has not been shared (she isn't tagged in any of his photos) proudly showed off her impressive rock in the pic, which shows the happy couple enjoying the great outdoors surrounded by trees and greenery. His Riverdale castmates flocked to the comments to congratulate them, with Lili Reinhart, who plays Betty, writing "My sweet parents."

Vanessa Morgan, who plays fellow LGTBQ fan fave Toni, gushed "So happppppyyyyyyyyyyy for you two." Kelly Ripa, whose husband Mark Consuelos appears on the show, wrote, "At last some good news." Camila Mendes, Skeet Ulrich, and Marisol Nichols also all shared their best wishes alongside the official Buffalo Bills Instagram account, much to Cott's obvious excitement. The Riverdale breakout keeps his relationship mostly under wraps, posting several photos of himself and his now fiancée but rarely giving fans any further insight. They've evidently been together for a while.

Cott didn't tag where the engagement photo was taken, but it's entirely possible they're both still in Vancouver, where shooting on the hit show resumed after production was initially shutdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic, as Variety reported.
