Baby Archie's Public Speaking Debut Is Turning Heads

Baby Archie is officially talking and his voice is adorable. While sources revealed over the summer that Archie knew a few words, his parents waited until now to let him address the public. "He's saying a few words, like 'Dada,' 'Mama,' 'book,' and 'dog,'" a source told Us Weekly in June, not long after Archie's first birthday. "He loves playing hide-and-seek and using building blocks."

Royal watchers recently heard Archie speak for the first time on the holiday episode of his parents' new Spotify podcast, Archewell Audio. Archie made his speaking debut at the end of the episode, with Meghan Markle and Prince Harry helping him say "Happy New Year" to their listeners (via Elle).

Baby Archie's cameo was the highlight of the episode, which included guests Stacey Abrams, Rachel Cargle, and Elton John, who all shared audio diaries about their year.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry revealed why they played this song at the wedding

Meghan and Harry also opened up about their royal wedding on their podcast and explained why they chose to play "This Little Light of Mine" to usher in their married life. "'This Little Light of Mine' played at the very end of our wedding...while we were walking down the steps of the church," said Meghan. "It was the music that we wanted playing when we started our lives together. Because as we all know, 'darkness cannot drive out darkness, only light can do that...'"

Harry added, "The message of this song is one we hold so dearly. It's about using the power we each have within us to make this world a better place."

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex played the song at the end of the podcast before wishing their listeners a happy new year. Just when it sounded like they were about to sign off, baby Archie came up to the microphone to deliver his own adorable greeting.
