The Untold Truth Of John Krasinski

Long before John Krasinski made his name as one of Hollywood's most beloved actor-writer-producers, he was best known as Jim Halpert of television's The Office fame. But that's not where his career started.

After studying theatre arts at Brown University and the O'Neill National Theater Institute (via The New York Times), Krasinski actually made his (uncredited) screen debut in 2000 as a judge's assistant in the film State and Maine alongside Philip Seymour Hoffman and William H. Macy. He then went on to spend five years landing small roles in shows like Law & Order: Criminal Intent and Ed before scoring his life-changing role in The Office in 2005 (via IMDB).

Though he played lovable Jim from 2005 until 2013, Krasinski also kept his film career alive, starring in Jarhead, The Holiday, Dreamgirls, License to Wed, Leatherheads, Something Borrowed, and It's Complicated (via IMDB). He also made his directional debut with an adaptation of David Foster Wallace's Brief Interviews With Hideous Men (via The New York Times).

John Krasinski boasts an impressive resume

But that's not all! During his time on The Office, he somehow found time to co-write, co-produce and co-star in Promised Land with Matt Damon (via The Hollywood Reporter).

Once The Office ended, John Krasinski showed no signs of slowing down. He brought his idea for Lip Sync Battle, which he originally spoke about on The Jimmy Fallon Show, to life, was an executive producer on Oscar-nominated film Manchester by the Sea, and continued to kill it onscreen, starring in leading roles in Aloha alongside Emma Stone and The Hollas with Anna Kendrick (via Insider). Oh, and he married The Devil Wears Prada star Emily Blunt

According to Brides, Krasinski and Blunt met at a restaurant in 2008 when a mutual friend introduced them. Blunt told Seth Meyers on Late Night With Seth Meyers, "He just stood there and made me laugh. I kind of [knew right away] (via YouTube)." They were engaged less than a year later and married in 2010 at George Clooney's Lake Como, Italy, estate. The pair now have two daughters, six-year-old Hazel and four-year-old Violet (via Glamour).

In recent years, Krasinski seems to have slowed down ... a bit, anyway. He starred as Jack Ryan in Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan series. He's also kept busy starring and directing the thrillers A Quiet Place and A Quiet Place 2 with his wife. Talk about couple goals! We can't wait to see what he does next.
