What Happened To Aundrea Fimbres From Danity Kane?

In 2005, Sean "Diddy" Combs created girl group Danity Kane as part of the MTV hit series Making the Band. Original members included Wanita "D. Woods" Woodgett, Aundrea Fimbres, Dawn Richard, Aubrey O'Day, and Shannon Bex. Together, the five girls would go on to score two Top 10 hits early in their career: "Show Stopper" in 2006 and "Damaged" in 2008 (via Billboard).

Since forming, the group has gone through many iterations, with various breakups (and make-ups) in between. Fimbres, for example, left the band in 2014. While it's hard to pinpoint a reason, problems between Fimbres and O'Day seem to be one of the sources of contention (via Showbiz Cheat Sheet). She reunited with Danity Kane in 2013 and a national tour was planned — additionally, a new song, "Lemonade" featuring Tyga, was the band's first release in six years.

But it all came to an abrupt end on May 16, 2014, when Danity Kane was set to perform in San Francisco as part of their No Filter comeback tour. When the members took the stage, Fimbres made the announcement that she was officially leaving the group (via Billboard).

Here's why Aundrea Fimbres really left Danity Kane

"I do have to say one thing if you guys don't know. I just recently got engaged. Two dreams of mine have been to be a singer and be on stage like this and to have a family. In a couple months, that's all coming true," Fimbres told the crowd in 2014, accompanied by her future stepdaughter. "I've gotten to do some amazing things with Danity Kane, but it's time for me to start the next chapter in my life" (via E!).

Since then, Aundrea Fimbres has kept a relatively low profile. In 2015, she sang on former Danity Kane bandmate Dawn Richard's song "Phoenix" (via In Touch Weekly). But, she hasn't posted anything new on her Instagram since 2019; although her feed is full of photos of her stepdaughter and husband Joey Perez. On one Instagram post from 2018 of the couple's wedding day, Fimbres captioned the pic by writing: "4 years down! Happy Anniversary. No stage could ever compete with the love I have found."

And that just might say it all.
