Inside NeNe Leakes' Issues With Her Management Team

This OG member of The Real Housewives of Atlanta continues to struggle very publicly with her professional life. After NeNe Leakes called out Bravo for alleged unfair treatment and racial discrimination over the years, she walked away from both the show and the network. Since then, the RHOA alum has reportedly been dropped by her management team, legal representation, and even her publicist after demanding a boycott of Bravo on social media. According to Yahoo!Leakes then called out attorney Darrell Miller and manager Steven Grossman in a since-deleted tweet.

"You can't turn on your teammate and get away with this @stevengrossman #DarrellMiller #Foxrothschild suppression, retaliation, discrimination, unequal pay, devaluation against black women is real, it's painful and it hurts. I will fight for all women rights PS: FIX IT," the former fan favorite wrote. Another tweet, from the week prior, remains up, as of this writing. In it, Leakes again insinuates racial injustice and notes, "I didn't say anything publicly for years but I spoke out behind the scenes in emails, text messages and conferences [sic] call. I can show you!" Now, it seems the reality star is paying the price for speaking up.

Was the former RHOA star dropped by her entire team?

According to a report by Perez Hilton"NeNe has been impossible to work with for a very long time now," which is why her team walked away. Two anonymous sources spoke to the site about the situation, with one noting, "I'm genuinely concerned for her mental health. She thinks the world is out to get her and refuses to take accountability for her actions." Leakes appears to believe her former team is in cahoots with Bravo, and she is convinced the network is targeting her. On Feb. 1, 2021, she tweeted, "They pay off & reward lawyers, managers, agents & even certain cast members to keep their dirty work going. I won't stop speaking out until something is done. I will call names if need be."

Leakes left RHOA in 2020 after being a part of the show since 2008. In a September 2020 YouTube video, the reality star described an "emotional negotiation" process, however, both before and after that video, she accused the network of rampant mistreatment. Rumors have swirled ever since that Leakes was fired for her bad behavior, particularly in relation to Andy Cohen, with whom she frequently tussled, including openly branding the Bravo head as and "ole cocaine head" and "ole racist" on Twitter.

As of this writing, the former reality star has not retracted her accusations against Cohen or Bravo, and when it comes to being dropped by her team, Leakes declared in a Feb. 9, 2021 tweet, "The ONLY statement [I] have... My team DID NOT let me go! No further statements at this time."
