90 Day Fiancé: Why Stephanie Threatened To Stop Sending Money To Ryan's Family

90 Day Fiancé's Stephanie Davison and her Belizean beau Ryan Carr always manage to keep us 90 Day fans talking. And this week for the season 8 couple, we're talking all about the drama surrounding Stephanie's bank account. In case you missed it, in this week's episode Stephanie threatened to stop sending money to Ryan's family.

Basically, Stephanie claims she has kept his family afloat financially, but she doesn't think Ryan's mother has been grateful (she did block Stephanie's phone number, after all). "When I share my money, I expect an 'I appreciate that, thank you,'" Stephanie told Ryan (via TV Insider). And "[t]hat's when I said, 'hey, she's not going to be grateful, I'm going to ask for the money back'," threatening to make Ryan's family pay back every dime.

But Ryan was quick to make it clear that his family is grateful and that his mother simply wants Stephanie to "stay out of her hair." Unsurprisingly, the drama did not stop there.

Stephanie's insecurities may be at the root of the couple's problems

Stephanie also got hung up on a thought that her psychic gave her, which was that Ryan will one day leave her. "She sees us getting married but [then] you leaving me for a younger woman," Stephanie revealed. Ryan was not impressed. "I believe psychic has something to do with the devil," said Ryan, adding, "No one knows your future ... How do I defend myself against a psychic comment reading? She doesn't know me."

According to Vulture, all these problems seem to stem from Stephanie's insecurities. Not only is she insecure about the couple's age difference (according to InTouch Weekly, Ryan is 27 and Stephanie, 52) and that he may leave her for someone younger, but she's also not completely sure whether or not Ryan is just using her for the visa. Guess you'll have to tune in next week to find out.

90 Day Fiancé airs on Sundays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on TLC.
