Here's What Twitter Is Saying About The Jennie And G-Dragon Dating Rumors

Rumors are swirling that Blackpink's Jennie and Bigbang's G-Dragon are secretly dating — and Twitter has lost its mind over it. According to Korean media outlet Dispatch (via allkpop), K-pop icons Jennie and G-Dragon have been dating for about a year. According to MEAW, the pair have kept a low profile, reportedly meeting in secret at G-Dragon's penthouse. Seems he has private parking and a private elevator at his place, allowing her to come and go without being detected.

It's safe to say that the news has caught fans completely off guard. In particular, they are amazed at how long the two have been dating without anyone knowing.

"PLOT TWIST OF 2021: G-DRAGON DATING JENNIE KIM," said one Twitter fan.

"A YEAR?!?! Jennie and G-Dragon have been dating for A YEAR!!!!!????" wrote another.

While some fans are already dubbing them "the Chanel couple," seeing as how the two superstars are both ambassadors for Chanel (via allkpop), others are getting creative in trying to make up a couple name for the new duo — with suggestions like GNnie, DraNnie, and JenGon (via Twitter).

However, not everyone on Twitter seems to be happy about the potential pairing, with some worried about the age difference between the two. G-Dragon is 32 and Jennie is 25. Others were disturbed by the fact that they have known each other since the Blackpink singer was a teenager (via MEAWW).

But others were quick to rush to their defense, with one Twitter user comparing them to Beyoncé and Jay-Z  "I don't see anything wrong. Jay-Z and Beyoncé are one of the most iconic couples ever and they have an age gap of more than 10 years [12, to be exact]. Jen and GD's age gap is around eight years. Love is love. Let them figure out stuff along the way."

While the gossip is buzzing, their representatives are staying silent. They put out a statement saying they would not confirm anything about the K-pop singers' private lives (via Korea Herald).
